Now after seeing everybody overrating and underrating Noah. Would you have him or Al Horford on your team? Because they were a dynamic tandem in college, Noah being the 5 in college and the pros, and Horford being the 4 in college, and played the 5 which isn’t even his natural position in the NBA.

Who’s better in the NBA – Horford at the PF position / Noah at the Center position

This is so easy. Horford doesn’t get dominated by bigger players (outside of Howard lol) and he is more of a scoring threat.

I would personally take Noah but in all honesty I havent seen enough of Horford…I like Noahs attitude, rebounding, and defensive abilities…although Horfords pretty good in those areas…I would say each team is happy with their players

i’m just curious as to why people love to talk about noah, but give horford no love. I’m eager to see him play at the PF position on a regular basis

If you watch them play on a consistent basis, it’s pretty obvious that Horford is better. Horford is much more skilled, powerful and has a more consistent offensive game. Noah provides a little more length and energy, but outside of that, Horford is the superior player.

I think Hoford is the better scorer but Noah brings so much to the table.  People forget how good of a passer he is.  Also he dribbling skills are pretty decent for a guy close to 7 feet.  I think Noah has not really gotten he chance cept for lately to put up nice stats and I see him continuing to get better as he gets stronger.  Hoford has looked better because he came in physically ready while Noah had to adjust more to the size of the NBA.

I dont see enough consistency from horford but i think hes maxed out his talent. I dont see him ever being like a gasol or even a boozer that you can feed him the ball and get you 20 almost everynight. I believe hell be a 15-10 guy his whole career.

I was skeptical of Noah coming into the nba but he started to show that he can play with physicality and is a complete workhorse. I love his demeanor and think that with booz to help on offense hes going to have a great year. About 13-12-2-2.

All around I like Noah mainly because of the energy and defense he brings. I see him as a championship caliber player more than I do in Horford.

People talk more about Noah because he plays in a bigger market and chicago fans love to overrate him. Horford is MUCH better.

Wasn’t Horford an All-Star this past season? Was Noah?

I like what Noah brings to the court he’s agressive and really puts his blood and sweat out on the floor, but as an owner I wouldn’t want his mouth off of the court. I think that I’d take Horford any day as a person and as a player.

But Horford brings toughness inside and scoring for all over the court…inside and outside threat and he’s jsut a better player

Noah has more heart in my opinion, Horford is the more skilled player. He has a nice inside game and a soft touch with his jumper. Noah on the other hand, shouldn’t be allowed to shoot outside of 13 feet with that funky release.

If Only you could give Horford’s skill to Noah or Noah’s size to Horford.

Noah has superior size but that is about it. He is a rich mans Varejao.

Horford is stuck playing the C position because Josh Smith couldnt shoot in a river. Horford is a better player IMO. This season should see more opportunity for him to score because Mike Woodson (former Hawks coach) ran a Guard heavy offense (Iso-Joe and more Iso… and if not that… try Iso.

New coach Larry Drew is going to install what he calls a "motion offense on steroids" This will involve all 5 players and more passing which makes everyone a threat and that includes Horford.

Noah is pretty much who he is. And thats not a bad thing at all.

I love how people say Noah has more heart…why? Because he yells and slams his chest? Is that heart?

And to the guy who said Horford is maxed out potentially at 15 and 10…Is Noah going to do better than that? The guy has no offensive ability, sure he can rebound and dunk with the best of em, but he isnt by any means going to be anything more than a glorified garbage man offensively. He is a solid passer, but so if Horford, and I think that will show this season with a more motion style offense.

if i was starting a team it would be Horford..But if i had to all star caliber players already and had to pick between Noah & Horford it would be Noah….When i 1st saw them as sophomores i thought Noah would be a top 3 pick..Becuz he was so dominate..But the more i watched them i saw holes in Noah’s game..Noah didn’t add much more to his game..While Horford continued develope his game…

Horford is better than Noah at everything outside of having a slightly lower motor. I understand Noah has value as a role player, but Al Horford is a better player than him. And even though he has an All-Star appearance to show for it while Noah doesn’t, people are overrating Noah’s value and actual ability nowadays.

Noah is a great energy player and rebounder to boot, but other than that does not contribute to the game as Al Horford can. I feel that since his rebounding numbers went so high up, people believe he is a better player than he really is. One  of the main reasons he was able to rebound so well was because he had Taj Gibson as a frontcourt-mate. I definitely would take Al Horford no doubt. Horford has good post moves, a jumper, can defend, and rebound.

anybody who doesnt take horford is an idiot… the sole fact alone that he can play the 4 and the 5 should be enough… let alone average a double double at each position…

i think playing the 5 has let him develop his defensive game tons of skills, not to mention his offensive game, which not only lets him gaurd his postition, but lets him learn different defensive schemes that allow him to switch positions during games to accomidate double and trip teams… let it be in the frontcourt or backcourt…

Noah just because a decent 7 footer is hard to find these days…Maybe back in the day when you had a bunch of decent centers i would have taken horford in some situations.
