HUUUUUUUGE get for the Hoosiers....definite future loto pick

not sure why the link isn't highlighted...sorry
Tom Crean is!
This is their 6th recruit, with only 3 seniors leaving. Even with Cody Zeller almost a lock to go early, they are up to 15 schollies. That means they either need some de-commitments or some transfers. As much as I appreciate the job Tom Crean has done recruiting, it has been amazing, I really did not like that Matt Roth thing where they basically pulled his last year. It happens, just do not like giving out more scholarships than you have (the number is 13).
Either way, Vonleh is a huge get obviously. The Hoosiers are still going to be loaded next year, this guy will play a big part of it. Huge wingspan, aggressive rebounder and can even stretch the floor a bit. Guessing this ultimately means Beejay Anya is headed to NC State. Indiana got the much bigger prize to (likely) finish off their recruiting class.
I see the scholarship situation clearing up pretty easy for Indiana. Yes they would be over the scholarship limit assuming all 6 players actually sign, but with current SF frosh Jeremy Hollowell already there and c/o 2013 top 10 SF Troy Williams coming in I can see where Tom Crean tells both SFs Devin Davis and Collin Hartman they would have to walk on or pursue a different college. I feel sorry for Davis and Hartman because they've been committed IU for 2 years and it's probably their dream school with them both being Indiana natives.
The focus of IU's c/o 2013 is basically 4 of the 6 committed. 6'10 Luke Fisher, Noah Vonleh, Troy Williams, and Stanford Robinson are the 4. I can't even imagine how scary IU can be next year with Yogi at PG and Williams and Vonleh running the court with their elite athleticism. Williams and Vonleh could end up the most athletic/best freshman 3/4 combo in America.
he will do wonders for tom crean. this kid has worlds of talent. he can handle the ball well for a forward, hes a average to good passer, good jumper and great intangables. great pick up. i wish north carolina had got him.
Nice to see Indiana get a top recruit by staying persistant despite loosing Trey Lyles. The 2013 class looks like one of the best classes in a long time.
Indiana is turning into the next Kentucky
How is Indiana turning into the next Kentucky? Don't see the comparison
Indiana is on the verge of becoming a consistent national power for years to come. The job Tom Crean has done is truly remarkable.
I've always been a hardcore UK fan, but my dad grew up in Indiana so he's always been a big IU fan and that has rubbed off on me a little, even through the drought. Seeing the job that Tom Crean has done making Indiana a powerhouse again is great to see. It just didn't feel right with them being near the bottom of the Big 10
Kid is a beast. Looks like a young Quincy Miller or John Bender
