Nikos Pappas Not Drafted Due To Racism - Is Dominating Eurocup

Nikos Pappas, who was not drafted by the NBA, due to racism against Greek players, is currently dominating the Eurocup.

The same Nikos Pappas that EVERY SINGLE OTHER MEMBER OF THE FORUM said is not good enough to play in the NBA.

The SAME Nikos Pappas that pohani komarac said "he had never even heard of", and that "no one in Europe has ever even heard of this scrub".

Nikos Pappas' Eurocup stats:

http://www.eurocupbasketball.com/eurocup/competition/players/showplayer?...

Once again, I was proven right, and once again, the rest of this forum is proven to be a bunch of clowns.

Nikos Pappas is way better than almost every single player that was drafted in the 2012 NBA draft. He was not drafted by the NBA, SOLELY DUE TO RACISM AGAINST GREEK PLAYERS. PERIOD.

Oh European Ballet

Why must you play the race card every time? It's time to grow up; I didn't get the job at Dairy Queen over the summer but you don't see me screaming" it's because I'm black"! If the guy can't play in the NBA he can't play jeez.

I've seriously never knew it

I've seriously never knew it was possible to be racist against Greeks...is it if you don't like hummus or something? Get out of here.

You bring up a quote from some guy name Pohani Komarac that I'm sure none of us have ever heard of. If this kid was any good why didn't he show up to the draft combines like most internationals do?

The guy has too many physical limitations and that was a cause of concern when faced against the USA guards in the Nike Hoop Summit. I'm sure he's a fine player in Europe but EB you NEED to get this into your thick skull. THE NBA IS THE BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD. Some players aren't suited for it.

Physical limitations? He is very athletic. NBA is loaded with guards that are less athletic than Pappas. Stop with the lies already. I am sick of it.

Perfect example of racism?

Perfect example of racism? What is wrong with you? That's not racism. He's being honest.

Your boy is an INFERIOR ATHLETE. He would get DESTROYEDDDDDDDD in the NBA. Even he knew he had no shot of being drafted, thats why he didn't want to go to the combine.

He is not inferior athletically you racist idiot. He is more athletic than all kinds of NBA players. You just make up that LIE, because he is white.

That's why you are a RACIST scumbag.

Because he was not invited it

Because he was not invited it to it. Because of RACISM. I already explained it. He was not drafted because he is white and is from Greece.

That's it. Anyone arguing that is extremely naive at the least, but based on the members of this forum - they are mostly actually just racists too.

Yes, like you believing that

Yes, like you believing that what I am saying is not true, even though it is true. You believe in an imaginary and delusional nonsense. So you are the shining example of that.

What I am saying is absolutely true, and you are just a dumb ass that is ignorant, yet also arrogant.

It would take too long to

It would take too long to tell you why you scouting seems flawed from objectivity standpoint, but we are talking about an undersized two guard with questions about his defense and passing. Let him play in the D-League, and if he dominates there, then he's got a legit beef.

I can't believe you're idea

I can't believe you're idea of "dominating" is a 4 game stretch where he didn't even hit 15 points in two of those games. If you're going to make a bold statement, don't use pathetic evidence to back it up.

Negatives so far in this thread:). Europeanballer is entering rare air.

I am sure Stern ordered every team to blackball this player.

I honestly think EB has convinced himself that he is right and all of us are wrong.

Americans are racist against

Americans are racist against Greek people... They are OK with Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Spain, Lituania, France or Italy, but Greece... they just hate that country. European baller, if you really think that Americans care about Greece so much, you're fooling yourself; they couldn't even locate it on a map (admittedly, the average American is awful at geography).

With the 48th pick of the

With the 48th pick of the 2012 draft, the New York Knicks select...Kostas Papanikolau...white, Greek

Greek Americans Kosta Koufos and Nick Calathes were both drafted in the past 5 years.

In the past 5 years, 37 white foreign born players have been drafted into the NBA.

Pappas has faired against

Pappas has faired against many draft picks from the 2011 and 2012 draft, and he was outclassed.

Not to mention 2nd round pick, Tyshawn Taylor torched Pikos Pappas in the FIBA U19 finals in 2009. He went for 18 points 6 assists and 5 steals. He simply cannot check athletic guards that are very prominant in the NBA. Tyshawn Taylor is averaging 3 minutes per game for the Nets, if he can run wild on Pappas, what would a legit starting guard do?

Pappas, that same game, went 5-15 (33% shooting) against the athletic American guards while turning the ball over 3 times to only 3 assists.

Pappas probably could play in the NBA because of his crafty offensive ability, but he wouldn't play a prominant role. Tyshawn Taylor proved he is a superior player and he is barely playing.

1. Just because he 'dominates' the Eurocup doesn't mean he belongs on an NBA team. There are players playing in the eurocup who are putting up similar numbers but didn't make it in the NBA. Just ask Patrick Beverly and Travis Diener. What you don't seem to understand is the European game and the NBA game are totally different games of basketball. So therefore everytime you point out what a guy is doing in Europe as an example of why he should be in the NBA is a COMPLETE MUTE POINT. Over 500 posts and you still don't understand this - this makes you a dunce.

2. If once again, the rest of this forum is proven to be a bunch of clowns (who are clearly against you) why do you keep coming back? You aren't convincing anybody you're right. Not on this forum or any other forum you keep posting the same tripe on. This is borderline insanity if you are expecting different results.

3. Papanikolaou was drafted by the Knicks. This proves there is no bias. 'Legit' is not a racist code word LOL. That's definite paranoia.

Few things here...1. Racist

Few things here...1. Racist probably isn't the right word 2. The Eurocup is a very good league 3. One game where a guard scored 18 points is not TORCHING, Joe Wolf. I'm sure Tyshawn Taylor scored 18 against many NBA guards in college. 4. You are all missing the point that if he was black with the same athleticism he would probably be looked at differently. He can obviously play. 5. A lot of posters on this site are clowns who just read reports and mimc everything they read, so if you have an alternative opinion about a player, who most of these people know nothing about, they are just going to regurgitate something they read somebody else say one time. 6. Dion needs to change his game he has the talent of an all star with the brain of a retard

In the real world you would

In the real world you would be right but when it comes to this site I would say 95% of the people do not think on their own. Never seen so much groupthink in one place. If one disagrees with a well liked member or a "common conception" you will be ridiculed, negatived, etc everytime you post anything, regardless of the accuracy of your statement.

Unrelatedly, I don't believe I actually ever specifically disagreed with your predictions for his numbers- more of where you thought he should be drafted and your overall view point towards his game. I just don't understand this season because last year at Syracuse for the most part he changed his game and was not playing this way. Where is the control in Cleveland who is letting him play this way I do not understand.

Irving went down at an in

Irving went down at an in opportune time for his development. He was already starting to struggle with his shot selection, and then Cleveland lost their #1 option. Of course, he would be asked to shoot and score more, but with his shot selection already starting to become an issue, I think he's just gone wild because I think, he thinks he has to.

Joey, Neon Dion misses 3-5 lay ups a game.

Some on no calls, some just because. He is learning to finish with his left and is actually a great at adjusting him game week to week.
Remember Durant's shooting numbers his first year. Personally the Cav's want to suck and I want Dion averaging 22-24 shots a game. Why not work out all the kinks.
You guys brought him up, so you know I was coming.

It's important to cultivate primacy

KD35 shot 28% from 3 as a rookie with 4 boards and 2 assists in 34 minutes a game with 3 turnovers.
If Waiter's is going to be good then he has to have the ultimate green light while Kyrie is out. I watch every Cav's game and Jeremy Pargo has the green light as does Alonzo Gee, why wouldn't Waiters. Casspi and CJ Miles come in chucking. They have Zeller, Andy and Tristan as bigs who never have a play called for them. The perimeter players on the Cavilers have to put up shots.
Imagine how much better off Austin Rivers would be in Cleveland. At the very least he would be more confident and be able to get off enough shots to hone his game.
