Nike Hoop Summit
You can watch the game here
I live in NY and I don't get FSN, I get MSG-plus which shows basically the same things as FSN does. Last year the game was on MSG-plus for me, but I checked today and they are showing hockey at 10pm et. Does anyone know what channel the game is on for people in NY?
@peZt93 Do you have to pay to watch the game on that link you posted?
Reports from practice is Archie Goodwin is scoring at will and Bazz is killing as well as locking down on defense. R.Sulimon is doing work as well as Kyle Anderson. Also read that Andrew Wiggans is doing work in the international squad practice
Youtube's got a really good stream at

You guys should definitely check it out.
I live in Southern Cali and I found the channel.... wait, are we still repeating the same thing?
Team USA is turning the ball over so much. Bazz and Wiggins are clearly the two best players on the floor, hopefully USA catches up and we get to see Bazz and Wiggins battle late in the 4th.
I continue my stance that Bazz is the top player in the US not Noel. He should be ranked first. Also Noel is not as good as Davis at the same stage. Not really close to be honest. Good shot blocker but doesn't keep the ball in play like he should
This is only one game, but I did not come away impressed with very many players. For the world team Zhelin looked solid, Saric looked good and Wiggins looked great at times. For the US only Anderson and Bazz really looked like big time players. Goodwin and the guy going to Duke looked decent. Saric, Wiggins and Bazz were the only 3 guys I could see playing in the NBA now.
Nerlens Noel was thorougly outplayed by Wang Zhelin. I had never even heard of Zhelin Wang. He pumped-faked his way to a dominant game. I swear, if Zhelin would have jumped into Nerlens every time he bit on the pump fake, Noel would have fouled out by half-time.
This won't hurt his recruiting process though nor is it a sign of what his career in college will be like. He had no help-side defense from the rest of his team which made it more difficult for him. Team USA played pretty selfish on both ends of the floor.
I don't know if i'd say NBA potential yet for Wang Zhelin. Word came out that he looked pretty raw in practice, and alot of his shots today came off nice assists. He had a good game, but it's still only one game.
I will say this though. He has some size and runs the floor well for a big and has good touch around the basket, and those are things you can't teach. If he can add some weight and improve his post moves a bit, then he's certainly got a shot. I think he turned some heads today and while this won't be his ticket to the NBA, i'm sure some more people will be paying attention to him down the road now.
Some good performances. Andrew Wiggins was hot early but cooled off a bit in the second half. Dario Saric looks poised beyond his years. Most of the time he made the right play and showed with overall skillset with the ability to do a bit of everything. He reminds me a little bit of a younger Danilo Gallinari. Leo Westermann didn't look bad either. He's a 6'7 PG so he's got some size for his position, but he didn't look out of position at all. A pure point guard, he made some nice passes and kept his team involved.
For the US team, with the exception of Bazz, no one really took control of this game.Muhammad set a new record with 35 points. He's the only one on the team who really seemed to be capable of creating his own offense though. Kyle Anderson showed some versatility too. Nerlens Noel is a good athlete, and it helps him get rebounds and block shots which he does well, but thats really the best thing I can say of him now. His offensive game is pretty raw right now, most of his points just come off pure athletic plays and passes. Also, he still has alot of learn as he pretty much jumps at the smallest of fakes. Zhelin managed to get him off his feet a couple times with fakes, Noel still needs to learn to go straight up and use his length without jumping.
Overall it was a fun game. Low scoring game, alot of defensive pressure by both teams and they both struggled to control the ball a bit (obviously the US team losing their PG hurt this).
Pretty bad showing by Team USA. The collective IQ was pretty poor.
Games like this with little preparation time come down to executing simple plays. These american kids are clueless.
-Shabazz has no floor game
-Tarczewski looks like a 3 yr player. He's not incredibly skilled and his physical tools are nothing special. The Chinese center looks like a better pro prospect.
-Kyle Anderson has no position defensively. Coaches will have to get creative with how they hide him.
-I'm not sure what makes McGary a good pro prospect. He'll make it but i dont think he'll be anything of note.
-I think people will be surprised by Nerlens Noel's bball iq...and not in a good way. He has poor fundamentals as well. Davis at the same stage was easily the better basketball player.
-Wiggins has really improved his shot. Not a fan of his mechanical form, but it's more accurate than it was. The difference b/t him and Shabazz is patience. Wiggins is just a soph (should be a junior though), but he picks his spots better.
-Dario Saric looks like the most experienced player on the floor. Very smart and skilled. He's a really good playmaker. He should be lotto next yr.
-Sulaimon could be an Avery Bradley-type defender in the future, with better range.
-Gary Harris is overrated offensively, underrated defensively.
-Archie Goodwin is a deep jumpshot away from being lotto.
So proud to be a Canadian right now. My boys really came out and play.
Also, the people who said they've never heard of Wang Zhelin clearly did not follow the Oak Hill games in China, Wang was there and he dominated the paint against an undefeated team in pretty much every game. I definitely saw this coming.
Since we all seem to be on the subject of Wang Zhelin right now...
Wiggins did well he just needs to work on staying focused and in the game. As his handle tightens up he is going to be almost unstoppable. Once he starts putting on weight and gets stronger, he is one and done for sure. To bad Bennett was injured but still hit hig shot.
Canada has more good players on the way too. Jamar Ergas class 2015 and one of the top 2016 players already 6'7" Justin Jackson.
