basedSERBParticipantthere coming back with a better team next year. i think its eighter going to be them or kentucky who win it all. just look at there starting lineup for next year, three people are first round prospects (nolan smith and seth curry will probably end up second round and i dont know about joshua hairston )
pg: kyrie irving, seth curry
sg: nolan smith, seth curry
sf: kyle singler
pf: joshua hairston
c: mason plumleeirving is gonna be a beast, he is number one point guard recruit. i think seth curry will be good and ive read that people have been saying that he is more talented than his brother. nolan smith should have a good season next year, really good shooter. kyle singler is gonna be good and probably a lottery pick. dont know alot about joshua hairston but he is #7 pf recruit. and mason plumlee should be able to play center.
irving should enter draft next year, nolan smith and kyle singler are going to be seniors next year, seth curry and mason plumlee should enter the year after that and joshua hairston should wait till junior or senior year

BlueLacesParticipantDuke is definately the favorite going into next year. I would say Michigan St. should get a lot of conisderation as should Purdue. I don’t think Kentucky is going to be nearly as strong as they were last year.

leppyParticipantPG- Kyrie Irving, Seth Curry, Tyler Thorton
SG- Nolan Smith, Seth Curry, Andre Dawkins
SF- Kyle Singler, Andre Dawkins, Ryan Kelly
PF- Mason Plumlee, Josh Hairston, Ryan Kelly
C- Miles Plumlee, Mason Plumlee Ryan Kellylacking depth at SF, thats it. dawkins is a little undersized for it. singler will have to put up big minutes again. kyrie is a step below scheyer if that just because of lack of experience but more talented. Plumlees are more talented than zoubek, thomas by a long shot and should produce more.
Ryan Kelly is a ? on how much he will improve. could have a miles plumlee type improvementrepeat almost guaranteed

SpencerIsHawesome2Participant‘repeat almost guaranteed’
I hate those words.
Big Duke fan but it’s not guaranteed. As of right now we have no proven frontcourt. Until the Plumlee’s, Hairston, and Ryan Kelly prove they can hold their own down low it’s far from a guaranteed repeat.

McWinningParticipantComeon, their a very good team, and i think the best in the country but Michigan State, and Purdue are right at their tail.
Their gonna miss Scheyer, and Thomas. Its far from a guarantee.

NathanStaceyParticipantDo not overlook the loss of zoubek or thomas. The Plumlees are going to have to step up and mature big time. Singler will probably get a lot of time at the 4 to make room for a 3 guard lineup of irving, smith, and dawkins. He will play the 3 in the pros, but it makes more sense to stick him at the 4 for this team. Add in the best coach in the biz and yes, a repeat is a strong possibility.

leppyParticipantalmost a guarantee. its as close as it gets. curry off the bench???? and i thought both plumlee’s proved they can play last year. they won’t go small unless the plumlee’s get in foul trouble

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantDuke should repeat.
They still don’t have that explosive wing now that Carrick Felix left. That’s there only weakness. We have the depth, the shooting, the defense, the offense, the fast guards and the post play.
I think right now? Duke should be a final four team. I just hope they don’t lose anyone.

McWinningParticipantWheres Carrick Felx going? he wasnt extremely impressive at junior college, but hes athletic, and a goof defender.
Hes could be a decent backup somewhere else.

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantCarrick didn’t get admitted into Duke… A bunch of his credits didn’t meet the standards or something (Which I don’t really get because you should check that ahead of time).
Anyways now Ryan Kelly HAS to step up

NathanStaceyParticipantThe Plumlee’s did not prove that much except glimpses of their potential. They are by no means finished products. Both are extremely raw and still have middle school bad habits. Their footwork and fundamentals need a lot of work and I’m confident wojo (the big man coach) and the staff are working on that with them. Mason has the edge in giving them a little more production because he has a little more nasty and hes somewhat of a playmaker. But, I say with this team you definitely have to start Irving, Curry, and Smith in the backcourt. There’s no way you leave any of those guys on the bench to start the game, which means Singler at the 4 which he played his first 2 years so that’s not really a problem. Then bring Dawkins and Miles off the bench as your 6th and 7th men. They are just way too stacked in the backcourt to not move Singler up to the 4.

IknoBall12Participantbe just fine next year. i like the fact we are the favorite to repeat. i mean i hear people saying we have weakness and arent experienced but there are schools that wish they had the so called”problems” we have rit enow at duke. im sure other schools wish they had our team. i think we can pretty much play with anyone in the country whethe rits small ball or playing big. we are a very versatile team

leppyParticipantshot 56% and averaged 4.9 rebounds in 16 minutes. if his time on the floor doubled he would almost average a double-double. he showed he can hit a mid range jumper. both him and his brother proved they can rebound and defend well. they should both get 6 plus rebounds and atleast a block shot a game next year. mason averaged 46% as a freshman. i see both players excelling in there roles for the team. they also can both run the floor well. miles is more polished than his brother but i expect both to have nice jumps in there stats next year
