kobyzParticipantI want to talk about the Israeli raise and born player Deni Avdija, who is also half Serbian (father is a formar Yugoslavia national player)… This kid is from 2001 international class, very skilled with fantastic instincts and great feel for the game, he can play the 1 through 4 positions, right now he’s standing at 6’8" and a half, he’s believing not done growing and could reach 6’10"… unlike duncic at the same age he’s not having that high level understanding of the game and top notch competitiveness, he’s a little imature and when he play you feel he’s not 100% focused or determined, but still he’s getting it done based on pure talent… He’s just help Israel win the u20 eurobasket title as a 17yo while choosen to all tournament team… Every scout I talked to said to me he’s sure lottery pick if he’s come out in 2020 because of potential…What do you think of him? Here some highlights of him: Killing the u16 competition: https://youtu.be/XuAyfVNIp3g Dominate in u18 tournament: https://youtu.be/LJYXT-9N7j0 Contributing and winning the u20 tournament while being the youngest player: https://youtu.be/IeTl3FVG49k

Mr. JewboyParticipantDoncic may have been a bit better, but this kid is the real deal! I am from Israel and I saw the games of this tournament live, and let me tell you- Deni is special! He doesnt back down, not from the moment and not from other players. He’s got a real good shot and is a very good playmaker. He showed us all this while playing against players 2-3 years older than him! Another thing is that you could see that all his teammates respected him very much, which says a lot to me because of the fact that they are all 20 years old and have been together for a while and all of a sudden a 17 year old whom they barely know comes along and takes all the attention- meaning he’s likable and mature for his age.
I think Deni has great potential and hopefully he keeps working hard and one day even becomes a star.

joe2324Participantisn’t a bit early to make these comparisons? Doncic is so young, we have yet to even see his full body of work as a mature professional athelete.

XYRYXParticipantFair argument but think OP meant to say more of an once in a while talent at a very young age from europe. Not the actual player or NBA comparison but more like the next big thing from europe kind of talent like Porzingis or Doncic now.

KIP BallerParticipantIts amazing I had never heard of this guy before. Just watched some of his videos and he looks legit. I agree that is hard to compare him to a player like Doncic who hasnt played in NBA yet but I get that he has a similar career development at same age. Interesting how much less exposure the international players get here in the US. If he grew up here, he would have been a houshold name in middle school.

European BasketballerParticipantDoncic is unique.

r377ParticipantHe doesn’t look very athletic but if he grows to 6-10 or 6-11 he could be a modern day PF with outside shooting touch.
41% from 3 and all tourny team for someone so young is very good. His Maccabi
teammate Zoosman was name MVP.
He doesn’t turn 18 till Jan next year. He currently playing behind Jeremy Pargo, DeShaun Thomas and Norris Cole, not bad company at all for a 17yo

kobyzParticipantZoosman is also a player to keep an eye for in the draft, could be a first rounder, 6’7" wing with 7’1" wingspan, silcky smooth 3 point shooter with great stepback and pollup jumper, can handle the ball and get to the rim when needed, reminds a Joe Ingles with better work ethic and defense at the same age…

mowestenParticipantI just watched one of the videos and didn’t see a single dunk. Not even a weak one. All layups. So put me down for being skeptical.

LeroyJenkinsParticipantAll you need is dunks to be a prospect?

mowestenParticipantNot what I said, you infered that on your own. I said I watched an entire highlight video and didn’t see a single dunk. And, because I’ve not seen many 6’8 prospects who couldn’t dunk, I said I’m a skeptic.

kobyzParticipantHe can dunk with ease…
