[News] Pick the Win
Is their not an easier way of doing Pick the Win? Like, is their not a site like ESPN Fantasy that could set something like this up after the All-Star break, just so you will not have to calculate this on the daily? I just know that I wished it was a bit easier when I was calculating the All-Star Reserve votes from posters on here, so I am just giving a tip to possibly make the game easier. That way no one has a chance to lose scores and you all get to register your picks before the games are played. I do not know if you can only do it for three games, but even so, I am sure you could make the scoring to your liking and it could be fun. Just trying to make less work for you.
I was using Google documents. I believe you need to have a Google account in order to use that, but just like G-Mail, the document feature is free as well.
Just a little heads up, if you go that route, and if you plan on making it available to be viewed, make sure the edit protections are activated. You don't want someone else accessing your sheets and changing the data you put in.
The cool thing about google documents, is that anyone can view it (you can publish it as a webpage) and it updates about five minutes after any editing you do to the master sheet. And you need a google account to view documents, only to create them.
You should do the following...
- Have one thread for ongoing Standings.
-Have one thread with ongoing scheduling for all games so we know which games we are choosing from and can choose in advanced.
-Dont pick the same teams all the time lol, everyones gonna pick San Antonio over Minnesota.
Mainly I work sometimes lol, so I cant come on and pick my team all the time. Just make one thread with all the games we can vote from and then if teams wanna update that they can.
For past players:
I'm sorry I had to end Pick the Win last time with no warning, but I lost all the point totals and everything and I didn't want to have to do everything all over and go post to post to see how many points each of you guys had.
I will start the game after the All-Star Break.
For incoming players:
Pick the Win is a game I put together where I put up 3 games a day and you guys predict who wins each game. I try to find evenly matched teams going head to head. If you pick the winning team, you receive 3 points. If you pick the losing team, you only receive 1 point.
I talley up the scores day after day and post the current standings along with the newest games for you to select from.
