OhCanada-ParticipantSo Earl Watson is out and Jay Triano is in as Head Coach. For Suns fans who dont know much about Jay he is one of the best x’s and o’s guys in the NBA and should make as a great interim Head Coach for the time being. He is great at mentoring the young talent and creating a pecking order and rotation for his team. His main flaws as a coach would be his lack of toughness that he gets his players to play with so dont expect this to help the team that much but they should be much more structured and the development of the players is in good hands with the Canadian Head Coach.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantI like Triano, hope he is the choice. But right now they are still condidering other options.
(Unless i missed them removing the Interm label)

HitsterParticipantJay has a lot of experience especially as an assistant so is the logical person to take over on an interim basis. He may not be my personal choice of who I’d want as the next Phoenix coach but with the NBA season now underway and the NCAA starting soo, getting someone to jump ship may not be as easy as it would have been in the summer.
Plus Robert Sarver may not want to splash out extra compensation as he will have had to pay Earl off too.
Jay could well put himself in a very strong position to get the job longterm if he wanted it, if he makes a good job in the interim role and results and especially performances improve.
Talking of Jay he has a link to the Canadian team with Steve Nash, might taking a chance on Steve as he was a Suns legend be worth a shot with Jay staying as associate or even bring Steve in as associate under Jay.

PHXSUNDREAMPICK13ParticipantSarver should make himself head coach.

Robb_CParticipantDavid Blatt deserves another shot in the NBA as a coach, I think he’d be a good fit in Phoenix..

BeastMode716Participantsome confidence. Those young players need a coach who can drill down on X & O’s so they can hang their hat on something Concrete, something Tangible.
Watson is more a motivation coach which is not a bad thing
I just think it was a bad fit or bad timing for a team this young.
