I was very upset I was so excited for this day then it happened man I was really excited before the release then Jason Smith came out and I was like that’s it just way too plain for me but I like the navy blue and it looks like we will wear white socks on the road but they really dropped the ball with the plain white look. Home = D Road = B but as long as we play good I’ll be happy

As a Pelicans fan I was so disappointed, we have some pretty nice logos, a sick color way, and then we come out with the blandest jerseys in the world.

The away uniform is okay, but the all white is terrible, and league rules say you can’t have an alternate jersey for the first 2 years.
I was really wanting a red alternate or a Saints inspired black one with red and gold.
Then we had Jason Smith and Ryan Anderson model them which made them look even more bland.

Why a name change when you don’t put it on your uni.
There is no team which doesn’t have one of their uni’s with their teamname on it.

Even their logo lacks creativity. If I were the designer, I would make the Pelicans logo a Pelican breaking from the water with the outline of a basketball in it’s gular pouch.

I don’t know how much more contradicting this re branding process can be. You agree to make a team knickname change to better suit your city and New Orleans deserves that. I have no real issues with the team name Pelicans. Its odd, different, but has character.BUT these uniforms are a complete contradiction to the charisma and flare that is New Orleans. My second reaction: This is obviously an attempt to replicate what Brooklyn did. Make a jersey that’s more geared for the casual fan, so that people who don’t even follow basketball with buy the jersey. Because lets face it, at the end of the day this is all about money and I don’t exactly see anyone tearing the walls down to get a jersey with the Toronto Raptor on it. The jersey is plain, the colors are plain, but I guarantee you’ll see a bunch of people from New Orleans repping them. Same thing with Brooklyn
