jdstormParticipantGolden state send
Monta Ellis and Andris Bedrinis to
Cleveland for
Ramone sessions, Antwan Jamison, JJ hickson and semith erdan
Cleveland gets the best player in Ellis, and a terrible contract in bedrinis who is 7ft 6 fouls for the next 4 years. but cleveland is ok with spending money.
Golden State.
Poor Mans Ellis in sessions, who won’t have any problems coming off the bench as a 6th man scorer. He also had a better PER last year then ellis, a backup C replacement in erdan. Two forwards that seem destined to play for the warriors. expiring contract Antwan Jamison and high flyer jj hickson
Cleveland might want a future 2nd round pick in return, but i think this deal should be done as it is currently constructed

natedogggParticipantcleveland would maybe do it if they didnt give up hickson.

jdstormParticipantCleveland might be slightly overpaying. But i think its pretty even. heres why.
1.Monta Ellis is really good. Ellis is a top 10 scorer in the nba. And he is a good defender in streaches when he wants to be. these guys are rare, Ellis is also a good 3pt shooter. Some people think he might not be a winning piece, but cleveland doesn’t want to win next year. they want another 2 lottery picks. Monta is someone who will help them sell tickets and jerseys this year and bring fun back to cleveland
2 Bedrinis is a guy who was good before, especially in 2007. then he lost his confidence. if playing on a different team in a different city like cleveland helps him rebuild that he is a valuable piece. if not, the new CBA will have an amnesty clause and they can cut him
3. Hickson Sucks. he was a project with potential before. he’s athletic and he can score. Carl landry is better. he’s the PF shannon brown. he dunks and occasionally rebounds. he’s been in cleveland long enough now. they didn’t get amare because they held onto hickson and look how that turned out.

Chilbert arenasParticipantWould that mean Cleveland would draft Williams at 1?

aamir543ParticipantHell no. I am a Warriors fan, and there is no way I take this trade. Hickson got 13 and 8 on the worst team in the league, and was suposed to be the face of the franchise, Jamison is over the hill, Sessions is nice, but not nearly at Monta level. For everyone that says Monta is a ballhog, that may be true to some extent, but if you pay close attention, Curry is the primary ball handler at least 55% percent of the time if not more. And Erden has a very ong way to go. We can do better than this.

Johnny ChillThe Warriors would be getting ripped off!
The only thing the Cavs can offer the Warriors is the #4 pick for this trade to make any sense.
Hell no Golden State doesnt want Hickson, David Lee is going to be the starting PF for the next 4 years. . Sessions is a poor man. Jamison, Warriors already got the bad end of that trade for Jamsion once before.

jdstormParticipantWhy the Warriors would do this.
1. your not getting Dwight or Iggy. The best players offered for ellis have been OJ Mayo and Thabeet
In short. the warriors get 3 young talented better fitting roster pieces on cheap contracts. Including someone who plays the exact same way as ellis, if slightly more efficiently even though he cant shoot. save close to 40 milion dollars when jamison expires. maybe more if there is a buyout.
Gets rid of one of the worst contracts in the league in bedrinis, while finding a cheap replacement C in erden.
Fills out their forward spots with 2 above average players who are better then the guys they had last year.
And they most likely get Alec Burks at pick 10 to be their new starting SG so this frees up some minutes for him to play
