i think

i love that the lakers have the third worst record for the draft, I think PHX gets this pick, but i am not sure, Kinda Ironic that they trade away their future for a shot today, and they are doing so bad

The Cavs have the right to

The Cavs have the right to swap the least favorible pick (the pick they got from Miami) with the Lakers pick which is now owned by PHX.

If Detroit somehow manages to

If Detroit somehow manages to get the first pick, they would pick Shabazz. They already have two future building block big men with Monroe/Drummond and they need a SF/SG.

Deonte Burton

Scouts are pretty high on him, he really does not make a lot of mistakes, has a huge wingspan and he should improve on last years shooting numbers. Buzz going around that teams like him, which is probably why he is so high. Marcus Smart is also getting rave reviews as a combo guard. He just plays winning basketball, he is unselfish and he is built like a tank. Hard not to like him, he just has that attitude and ability that makes you want him on your side.

I like CJ Wilcox being around there. He is a steady SG with definite NBA athleticism. Should have a great year as UW's go-to guy. He may not be top 20, but he should be somewhere around there. Also popular belief that Michael Carter-Williams has a huge sophomore season now that he will be playing consistent minutes. He is slight, but has definite PG ability at the college level. I could see him being a possibility for this years draft and I do not expect him to stay past his junior year. His versatility makes him an intriguing prospect in a weak SG class, as I am not sure he runs a team at the next level.

As far as Shabazz goes, I again feel like he may very well be the best player in this draft. Just have apparently been rumblings that not all NBA teams feel the same way. They question his wing skills and feel that he wins his match-up off of strength and athleticism, rather than wing skill. I just think he has a fantastic work ethic and can/will improve in this area. His shot is not bad and he has great speed. May be more of a 3 than a 2, just would not count him out. Still, most prognosticators who get their info from NBA GM's/Scouts currently have Cody/Nerlens at the top of their draft boards (Chad Ford, Jeff Goodman). At least at the current time. While I do not agree with that being the final showing, it is popular opinion right now.

Whats the scouting report on

Whats the scouting report on Ricardo Ledo who was the best scorer in the class of 2012 but is uneilgible to play this year at providence. he seems to be a better overall scorer than shabazz. if you watch some of his highlights on youtube some of the people who have been covering high school basketball for 10 years say hes the best scorer they have ever seen.

he is NBA Ready

You always do a good job using slang rappers would be......

Embarassed to use. I do a pour job? Like, are we talking margaritas here? Champagne? Pitcher of beer? In this case, I clearly said "scouts" and the reasons why. At this point, I am not sold on having Burton that high, and if he is another Marcus Banks than I am guessing he still gets NBA consideration. Just not that high in the draft. James Harden haircut seems to disagree with your analysis:

Mikey is one of the top

Mikey is one of the top posters on here so he has a good reputation for knowledgeable posts IMO. As regards mocks, slight moves at this stage mean nothing in my view especially if it is only a place or two. Aran will adjust his mocks on form, feedback etc and they will revolve as the NCAA season progresses. Ironically we may see more moves after March Madness than before it.

As regards Detroit, Shabazz would be a nice fit to play at SG/SF but Caldwall and McLemore could be other backcourt options. I would also not rule out Detroit taking another genuine big if their main draft targets had gone, whilst this would not be Noel or Zeller over Shabazz further down they could consider Adams, Gobert etc. With Drummond being a long term prospect they might consider having another guy in the same mould so you have a safety net if only one comes off. Plus with Monroe being a more finesse big man, another large body alongside Drummond would be a useful option, However Bazz is the perfect fit there with any luck.
