New Kings Owners considering targeting Ellis in FA
Don't know what they see but there seems to be some interest there if they lose Evans this summer. I hope whoever they hire as the management and coaching staff talks some sense into them about acquiring more loose cannons.
I want to apologize to the Kings fans in advance if this goes down. You already have a poor version of Ellis on your team. The Kings need a direction and go with it. I'm not a Cousins fan, but if you are not going to trade him, you might as well do all that you can to build around him and to feature him in your offense.
The team needs LEADERSHIP
The team needs LEADERSHIP, not Ellis.
I think Monta is not a good fit for them,he is just not a good franchise player and will never be. Cousins is very talented and if he could become mature in the next few years he will be able to dominate because as everyone knows there are not a lot of big guys playing well in the league like before..
About Evans , i still believe he can become a very useful player..
I think Ellis is a perfect fit in Sacramento, then they can change their names to the Misfits lol.
Seriously though, I feel bad for Sacramento fans. Hopefully the new management can turn the franchise in the right direction because they're just a giant clusterf*** right now.
Hopefully this is just new owners doing their homework on all possible FA's and not just Monta. The Kings do not need any more drama, imagine what would happen when he mouths off to Cousins over something stupid...
They really need a distributor/defensive guy more than anything, and a veteran presence to calm DeMarcus down a bit. Adding another scorer is not the right way to go about this.
“I’m going to say LeBron James(notes) [third],” Ellis said in 2010. “He can do it all, pass, score, defend, block shots. No. 2, I would have to say, me. I can do a whole lot of things: defend, score, make passes, do whatever I need to do.
“No. 1, I’d say Kobe Bryant. There isn’t one player that can stop Kobe one-on-one. He has a lot of stuff. He can defend. And of course, he won four championships.”
Dat self-confidence, who wouldn't want a player of this caliber?
Already headed in the wrong direction. Instead of them showing their interest in players, they need to show more interest in hiring staff that will know how to build a team. If they really care about the team, they will hire someone who knows what they are doing.
I truely feel bad for the Kings. They could have built around young talent like the Thunder did, but bad draft picks and trades destroyed their chances. Why add 3 Pg's to your roster when Tyreke Evans most dominate position is at the 1. Ok i can understand if they want him to be more of a scorer but he needs the ball in his hands. Bringing in Chuck Hayes, Marcus Thornton, Along with 5 SF's on thier roster smh horrible job of assembling a NBA team. All they had to do was build around Cousins and Evans and get role players/ specialty guys (shooters, defenders, scrappers,) I feel so bad for this team becuase I am a huge Demarcus Cousins fan as well as Tyreke Evans.
Kings need a whole new roster lol
the risk about building around cousins is that he could bolt after his rookie contract and i actually think he will. Cousins is a diva lets face it. He shows no signs of changing. I dont even think veterans can help this guy as hes had it his way for too long. Yh he has an abundance of skills but he deploys them in a random fashion. Gift n a curse
