No way in hell the Magic are taking a bad contract (Blake) back in the Howard trade… They will try and unload all bad contracts… Not take them back.

Your trade doesn’t work salary-wise because Gasol’s contract is too big for what Philly’s giving up.  However, if you substitute Iggy for Evan Turner like this:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bodbj8z

You also have to keep Steve Blake on the Lakers, which makes sense because I doubt the Magic would want him anyway.  Then it works.  I don’t think this is a bad trade for any of the parties involved, though.

Not a bad trade, makes sense on all parts, but I would tweek it a lil bit. This is what I came up with:

Orlando trades Howard and Turkoglu for Bynum, Jefferson, and Speights. Resulting in a lineup of Nelson(Duhon), J.Richardson(Redick), Q.Richardson(Clark), Jefferson(Davis), and Bynum(Speights).

Lakers trade Bynum, Gasol, and Blake for Howard and Turkoglu. Resulting in a lineup of Fisher(Morris), Bryant(Green), Peace(Barnes), Turkoglu(McRoberts), and Howard(Majok).

Philadelphia trades Iguodala and Speights for Gasol. Resulting in a lineup of Holiday(Williams), Turner(Meeks), Young(Nocioni), Brand(Brackins), and Gasol(Hawes).

Utah trades Jefferson for Iguodala and Blake. Resulting in a lineup of Harris(Blake), Iguodala(Burks), Hayward(Howard), Millsap(Kanter), and Favors(Okur).

They get older and only make a slight jump as far as Overall Record is concerned…It’s not a championship move and losing 2 young guys to only get slightly better doesnt make sense…The plan is to stay Young and find the next Griffin,Gasol,Garnett etc, ect through the draft or Free Agency, not trading for aging stars for a short window of mediocore success, when it only helps the Lakers and Magic in this scenario…The Jazz and Sixers can find a great trade with each other, without including the Lakers or Magic…

I’d love to see Enes Kanter in Philadelphia, so obviously I’d start with an offer of Iguadola, Brackins and Hawes for Kanter and Okur…
