Nets are making the playoffs
This is a basketball forum..
Don't throw around words like redneck when he insults you-even if it feels justifiable
And honestly it doesn't matter at all how much money anyone makes, that has nothing at all to do with knowing the game of basketball
Keep it civil.
He kept taking cheap little shots at me with his smart lawyer remarks....some old &$#%#&@! in bumble&$#%#&@! PA
teaching me the difference between excellent and great....pompous j a c k a s s..... those two words can be interpreted in the same way. Maybe if you got educated you wouldn't have to be such a prick. Just because in YOUR interpretation the word great means all star and excellent means "very good job" doesn't make you necessarily right. Please give me a dictionary of your terminology next time we discuss something.
And yes saying Gallo can't be successful without a top PG is taking a shot at him because that's not true at all, and saying Randolph didn't get minutes in GS and got traded for peanuts is also a sleight....
if you had any teeth...i'd knock them in.
Again guys the Nets won twelve games last year twelve what major changes have they made to make the playoffs from the worst record in the NBA but i belive the Knicks will make the playoffs while the Sixers may have more overall talent across the board I think the Knicks have a better season
Again Demarcus stop looking at the Nets team from last year as a reason why they won't make the playoffs. They only return three players from that roster T-Will, Lopez and Harris. Who are all pretty damn good players. They added 9 new players to that roster. Last year they had a gm as their head coach. This year they have a former coach of the year winner as their head coach who took the mavs to their only finals appearance, won 67 games in a season and is the winningest coach in NBA plus they have another coach of the year winner in Sam Mitchell on the staff. They also have a new owner and a new gm. Last year they had no one in the top 50 in the league in 3 point shooting and now they added arguably the best 3 point shooter in the game. Last year they had no one who could rebound the ball effectively and now they add one of the top 10 rebounders in the league.

Hmmmmmmm, do you feel better after firing off all of those cheap shots, insults, and threats?
A good lawyer would know how to debate using facts, logic, and reasoning.
By the way, I've been on this site for a long time and I can't remember anybody acting worse than you did in this thread with your last few postings.
I wasn't trying to put you down but that's how you took it. You're the one who denied putting words in my mouth, I was just referring back to them. When you denied doing such, that made it clear to me you didn't even realize you were attributing your words and conclusions to me, and then arguing against yourself.
Come on, you even thought I was saying that Andres Nocioni and Steve Hawes were they key to Philly's upcoming season. Once again, I never said that, that was your conclusion based on what? Maybe you thought pointing out the real keys to Philly's upcoming season was a way of putting you down but it wasn't.
Hmmmmmmm, I guess an ignorant redneck like me from the hills of PA, who only earns enough to buy liquor and cigarettes, shouldn't be using this kind of logic with a young soon to be high salaried attorney. Excuse me!
Thats all great guys, but....what about the Nets?
has a much bigger project in Philly than he had in previous coaching stints.
as of right now I got them as 8th seed. their ceiling is 7th and their floor is 12th. The last 2 spots in the East are wide open. Getting Murphy helped the Nets out alot I think
The Nets missed out on a top FA but have remoulded the roster and if Harris can get back to his 2008-09 form can improve dramatically. Murphy doesn't have a defensive game but Favours can provide that so you have a nice PF balance. That said whilst he Nets weren't as bad a a 12 win team should be, even with the expected improvement anything above 30 wins would be a major surprise. But to rebuild takes time and another trip to the lottery will do them no harm and Coach Johnson can continue to help his young squad to improve all around.
Philly should be stronger than last year but Doug Collins hasn't coached for nearly a decade and a lot will depend on what he can bring to the bench and how he sets the team up. I would say anything much above 35 wins would be an overachievement for them. They could sneak a play off spot if 8th seed was below .500.
The Knicks will have more pressure on them this coming season and especially Coach D'Antoni, after a couple of years grace the Knicks fans will demand improvement especially having signed STAT. However may points the Knicks score, Coach D'Antoni will need to get wins on the board and push for the play offs and get above .500. After two losing seasons Mike D'Antoni needs to deliver this year to make the Knicks even more viable players in the persuit of top FA's next summer and to keep the Garden faithful on his side. If STAT can stay sound then I can see the Knicks being around .500 and maybe getting a play off birth. Whilst a meeting with say Miami or Orlando may result in defeat the return of play off action for the Knicks fans would be a major sign that things are improving and a winning a game or two in the series at the Garden would give the team a massive lift both on and off court confidence and revenue wise.
Rbt sounds he could make a GREAT or EXCELLENT attorney...
end of story.
