    Sixers Review:

Noel:  Needs to get his timing down.  Will come with maturity but I love the way he gets open.  He needs to get the ball more because the man can blow past people in the paint.  But he just needs to pace himself more to not turn the ball over, but his explosiveness is exciting.  He’s like Roy Hibbert on Speed.

Having said that, Noel has very quick hands, and he’s a menace at the rim.  BUT, the dude is not a good rebounder at all.  He does not have strength from the butt and below which you need to make space for yourself and box people out.  He also has quick hands, but has very weak hands for a big man.  He has 2-guards able to out-muslce him for a loose ball.  Hopefully he can build up the hand-strength….because we haven’t had an explosive player like him a long time.  He needs to secure the ball.

KJ:  He was a step slow or less aggressive, or looked a little defeated against Wiggins.  I think he was letting Wiggins length affect his ability to shoot.  He also was not playing very aggressively on Wiggins when he had hte ball.  He had no aggressiveness on fast breaks.  But he clearly has an NBA body, and at 6’6” he is capable of defending the 3.  I think he’ll get more comfortable with time and be a solid bench player for the Sixers.

Jerami Grant:  I said this while watching him at Syracuse while the team was undefeated and everyone’s darling.  Jerami Grant affects the game in a positive way for his team.  When he gets in there and is playing aggressive, for some reason teams win.  Now, he has NO shot, but he does little things that help a team win.  Having said that, he’s slim at 6’8” and there is no way he can play PF against the big boys in the NBA.  I can understand why he slipped to the 2nd round.  He’d be a phenomenal paint player, in a Euro league.  He looks right now like a former NBA player’s skinny son.  But I like his positive energy when he’s locked in.

McRae – looks like a baller.  Love the fact taht he was a senior.  He has a huge wingspan.  Right now he is above KJ in my book.  He provides more offense than KJ, and KJ had a weak showing today.  I’d probably start KJ for defensive purposes and bring in McRae as your energy/offense guy.

This team needs Shooters and a backup PG for the future.  For 2015, in the lottery, you take Mudiay if he’s there.  If not, who are some of the 2’s to look out for that can shoot.

I like our team, we just need to mature.  In 2 or 3 years when these bodies fill out we’ll be fine.

Can Saric shoot?  I think taking Doug McD and either keeping him, or trading him for Nurkic and Harris was a better move than drafting and moving Elfrid Payton for Saric….but let’s see how this turns out.

Sorry its a lot but I haven’t posted on here in a while and I want to know what the other Sixer fans think!

Next year I’m hoping for Kelly Oubre to be our future 2 guard

Part of Noel’s rebounding issue is he is looking to help or block shots and it doesn’t leave him in board position.  Love what I’ve seen – quick and versatile.

KJ was quiet – but is getting over an ankle sprain.  His style is quiet

    Grant is a 3 with a 4 game

McRae is a bit out of control but may have the longest arms I’ve seen on a guy that size and he knows how to ball

I don’t like Brandon Davies or any of the frontcourt guys here compared to Sampson and Roberts from the Orlando team.  Scottie Wilbeken liek Aaron Craft isn’t NBA level – just can’t finish

noel is still scared of getting hurt and has no muscle to even fight for a rebound.
    his offense is surprising.

kj got hurt in Orlando I think.

Embiid if he ever can stay healthy with a healthy noel if it ever happens will be good., Sixers will get flamed alls eason though if they atttempt to play Noel at center this year. The guy gets pushed around so easily. He looks good for the PF position though.

seeing parker and wiggins play they look ok. wiggins looks great on defense. I was thinking what If Joel really becomes better then both wiggins and parker.

Noel looks good not much goes through the middle when hes on the floor he took a jump shot and it looked pretty good.
I see him improving that and I also see him developing a post game one day not to advance but something atleast.

hes dribbling ability isn’t Anthony davis but its good for a big if joel and noel pan out….

Does Noel remind any other Sixers fans of a better Theo Ratliff, or is that just me? I think he’ll post close to Ratliff’s career best of 12ppg, 8rpg during his rookie season.

As of s a SG in the next draft I have a feeling they’ll target Mario Hezonja. I see the Sixers following the Spurs model and being heavy on international players. I’m hoping that Hezonja makes the Croatian team for the World Cup, and then we’ll get to evaluate him against NBA level competition.
