NBA's DUMBEST moment this past season
Just for fun... What was the dumbest moment you witnessed this past NBA season? I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this lol.
Lol... If I had to choose, I'd choose both games the Clippers played the Knicks. Al Harrington got huge dunks during key moments in the 4th quarter in BOTH games, but got technical fouls for smacking the backboard in... BOTH games lol (almost at identical points in the game), which allowed the Clippers to take it into overtime & win both games. IMO... THE DUMBEST MOMENT(S) OF THE 2008-2009 NBA SEASON.
Nelson let Derek Fisher shoot the 3 in the Finals
Right on the money. A play that infuriated me was J-Rich going up for a 360 dunk when he thought he was on a fast break and than getting destroyed by LeBron on the block. Just a ridiculously stupid basketball move by Richardson, who kills me with his inability to live up to potential. He gives away the game, which he was in the midst of tying. Lol, and in the video, he just gets reemed with boos at home, AND gets a T.
i remember that , but remember when Ricky Davis tried the through the legs dunk and the ball wwnt flying out of his hands
the lbj block on j rich was not that dumb. j rich didnt see that coming. no one saw that coming. i saw the play and i could not believe it. me living in queens, ny, when i saw al et the tech on the dunk vs the clippers the first time, i thought that it was just a rare accident. him doing the same exact play to the same exact team which cost them the game was hillarious. i was dying when i saw it. tezo83 got it right. those make the dumbest play last season.
lol. Hilarious moment, I couldn't stop laughing and they showed it so much.
It was totally stupid. Why would you do that at any point of the game, much less when the game was so close and in the 4th quarter? He had no vision and had no idea if somebody was coming, which is the exact reason why it made no sense to go for the 360. If he just went straight up and dunked, like say, I saw Courtney Lee do when in the same situation in the play-offs, his team would be tied and still very much in the game. The situation is part of what made the play so stupid. It was an amazing play by LeBron, but if J-Rich goes straight up on the dunk, that is 2 points. Instead, he made me, as a person watching the game and wanting the Suns to make the play-offs (due to my diehard Shaq fandom), I let out a tourettes worth of curses at the screened image of J-Rich. I do not know about that Al play, I did not see it, but I am sure it was stupid, maybe indeed as stupid, but I just thought that J-Rich one was awful to me. I do not rank one above the other. I do say mikenike was dead on with not fouling Fisher as the most mind boggling play of the season though.
Wallace giving up cap space and beaucoup bucks for Zach "the cancer" Randolph.
Michael Jordan drafting a 5'10 point guard w/ a miracle Brook Lopez gift right in front of him
Detroit giving up Billups for future cap space, eventually wasted on reserves
SVG replacing Alston with Jameer Nelsonin game one. ruining the awesome Magic chemistry they built together
Everything Kahn has done as GM so far. 7 power forwards and 5 point guards coming to a town near you!
Disrespect for the game by J-rich...from tie to 6 pts lead for the cavs on that play, but don't forget LBJ just broke his hand, come on he never touch the ball !!!
Dumbest moment...hundred by the refs, remember finley who win a game against the kings at the end of season, clear violation, don't need replay to smell it(commentators saw it 2), that just change all the final standings, spurs move 2 the 3rd seed, 1st round match ups was blazers-mavs, rockets-spurs, with the tie breakers history, think its dumb.
does anyone remember the celtics having 6 men on the court against portland? that was like a preschool game moment.
Portland, versus the Celtics, and yes, that was ridiculous, since Portland also scored a basket and went on to win the game and I do not even think the Celts got to shoot a T (and I hate the Celtics and live in Portland, just remember it happening). LeBron got all ball, maybe hit his wrist (as Reggie seems to say, maybe) but their is no way the ball spins like that if he just hits his hand. Nonetheless, it was ridiculous. Mamadou, I do agree hundreds of horrible calls by refs and that Finley call sounds definitely awful, and I would have rathered the Blazers had played the Mavs than Houston :)
