Points were a way we could keep track of serious posters and people that had some of the best knowledge of the game. The game was tainted however with the gif era. Guys posting mass gifs for insane points. You look at someone like IndianaBasketball with a pure love of the game with all his points. It's amazing!! He's like the Henry Aaron of the site. Then we have juicing McDunkin. A hall of famer without gifs but the all time points leader with them. He has an asterisk next to his record in my book ala Barry Bonds.

So all in all, points mean nothing. And relax!!! I was just joking above. :)
