There could be some stars on the block now, as we get a clearer picture of who sucks and who is great.

    Right now I’m thinking:

Charlotte: G Kemba Walker + C Cody Zeller to Cleveland

    Cleveland: 2018 Nets Pick + F Cedi Osman + C Ante Zizic

Charlotte hits tank, Cleveland all-in. This could be really nice offensively for Cleveland, but there could be defensive worries. Having such a small backcourt of Kemba and IT and Kevin Love at center could kill them defensively in the Finals. But then again, offensively who could stop Kemba-IT-LeBron-Crowder-Love?

Charlotte: G Kemba Walker + F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to LAC

    Los Angeles: F Sam Dekker + G Austin Rivers + 2020 swap rights + 2021 1st Rounder

Charlotte again hits tank, gets back a decent young wing and a nice scoring guard and a first rounder back. The swap is unlikely to kick in, but in 2020, who knows? Griffin might get injured and the Clips would lose. For LAC, it sets the team up for some success this year, but is mostly about next year. When everyone is healthy (hopefully), you get a Kemba-PatBev- MKG- Gallo-Griffin lineup if DJ doesn’t resign or a Kemba- PatBev- MKG- Griffin- DJ lineup and potentially two star sixth men of the bench in Lou and Gallo. However, this trade has exactly a zero percent chance of happening because Doc would never trade his son, not even for a championship.

Memphis: C Marc Gasol to Milwaukee

Milwaukee: C Thon Maker + G Matthew Dellavedova + F DJ Wilson to Memphis

Memphis also hits tank while getting an intriguing but currently lost talent in Maker. Milwaukee becomes truly fearsome with a potential lineup of Bledsoe-Middleton-Giannis-Jabari-Gasol come playoffs.

Oklahoma City: F Paul George to Detroit

    Detroit: F Stanley Johnson + G Luke Kennard + 2018 1st Rounder

I’m not convinced PG13 is on the block considering OKC’s still fearsome potential, but if the rumors are true, here might be one viable option. OKC’s return is a little light but PG13 is a rental and Stanimal was compared to Kawhi near the draft and Kennard still could be a good player and they could turn that 2018 1st Rounder into someone like Hamidou Diallo, an uber-athlete with tons of upside. For Detroit, Reggie-Avery-PG13-Tobias-Drummond seems like a legit contender to maybe the East Finals.

All trades are just general frameworks. What do you guys think?

does any of this trades work salary wise? Don’t think the Kemba or PG13 trade would work let alone what do the cavs want with this super short backcourt or why OKC would want Johnson who still has potential but can’t do anything on offense when they pay Robes 10 million per year for at least being an All NBA type of defender. I don’t think this trades solves problems for the teams giving away the stars.

I said general framework. These ideas are just based, not actual trades that can be processed now. OKC’s done a good job developing guys with potential, and they could do the same for Stanimal. Like Kennard is also quite promising and the 2018 1st is nice as either trade ammo or a prospect. CLE might wan Walker because A) their starters in the backcourt are currently Calderon and JR and B) Death Lineup v Warriors. Their Death Lineup could honestly be better than the Warriors because they are not guardable. Kemba is also under contract for next year, so that could be playoff insurance with Love or another nice trade chip should LBJ leave. Also Zeller comes in the deal. That allows Cleveland to go big if they want, with a LBJ-Wade/Korver/JR-Crowder-Love-Zeller Lineup. Zeller is a solid player on defense and offense; Charlotte’s net rating with him last year shows that.

What a horrible post….. "framework"??? Every trade is missing about 25 million $ on either side…
Ande are you serious? Marc Gasol for technically Thon Maker and garbage??? What an idea is this….
Your "ideas" lacks any logic, salary matches or reason for teams to even discuss it….. Walker and Zeller for a 10th pick, C’mon….
    Just disastrous….

Whether the suggested trades are good or far fetched, the fact that someone is trying to create some conversation is what these message boards are for.  I for one am happy to see these kind of topics. Keep them coming.

Charlotte have a decent roster, they could well be a 4th to 6th seed next season.

Orlando could look to do something before trade deadline. Maybe with a fringe playoff team – Utah, LAC, Portland, NO, Denver, Miami, Knicks, Pacers. Maybe someone like Elfy or Nikola Vucevic get shopped

I could see NO looking for a SF – Jae Crowder, Stanley Johnson, Hezonja, Marcus Morris etc

New Orleans would end up losing a key piece just to get one of those guys.

Anyone got any realistic trade ideas?

    – NO need a SF badly

    – Memphis won’t trade Gasol, they’ll hold Conley out as long as possible and accidentally on purpose lose games, go again next year with a lotto pick (if they still own it).

    – Phoenix needs to move Monroe at a minimum, probably a few more too

    – I think Boston and Cleveland both need a 5 man. Boston will wait for the draft. Cavs are 50/50, if they are sure they’ll get to the finals they’ll probably not make a trade

    – Spurs could do with a move but Pop doesn’t trade anybody – good news for Danny Green

    – OKC may get busted up and PG-13 or Melo may go to a contender

    – Raps are one good move away from challenging in the East (believe it). How’s PG 13 for unconditional picks and salary dump??

I have one trade that I think will get negged stupid, but I think the Clips would say yes and it would make the Cavs very very hard to beat –

DeAndre Jordan and Teodosic for the Brooklyn pick and Tristan Thompson. I have no idea about the salaries right now tbh, I’m just making this sh*t up but I’m sure there are minor pieces that can be added that’d make this work.

    Cavs could start:

    IT Smith James Love Jordan

    Bench:

    Teodosic Wade Korver Crowder Frye

I think that makes them title favorites.

Clips add a lottery pick in a strong draft and get Thompson who can replicate some of what Jordan provides.

I don’t see anyway the Cavs trade for DJ with their only potentially high pick coming. Unless brookyln starts winning some more games and becomes a likely late lottery pick.

Cavs wouold definitely be tough to beat though. GS would still be favorire IMO,
