Memphis MadnessParticipantHappy for Josh Selby! Also happy for Damian Lillard. Looking forward to seeing Lillard play (as well as the other Blazers rookies Myers Leonard and Will Barton). Hope Selby gets more minutes this year and he can keep up production.
I am glad they split the award since both guys deserved it.Lillard is looking like a ROY candidate, while Josh Selby could be a Most Improved Player candidate if he can get the minutes.

NJHooper95ParticipantJosh Selby may have played his way into the starting lineup, certainly into the sixth man. So whats happens to bayless now? I thought he would have a chance for alot of minutes but not if Selby can shoot the ball half as well as he did in the summer league. Memphis has the best collection of young talent at the guard spot in the league when you look at conley, bayless, selby, wroten, and even pargo. All of those guys can play ball.
Damian Lillard- has made me a believer. This guy is nba ready and will be one of the best shooting point guards in the league the time he hits the floor. I know he can score, but with all the talent in Portland, I want to see how well can he distribute. I dont expect him to be steve nash, I just want him to be able to run the team and get people involved, he has shown he will not have a problem getting his own.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI’m a Memphis season ticket holder and if Selby can continue to shoot like he did in Summer League..Believe me, coach Hollins will find a way to get him playing time….
But you cant get carried away with a guy’s performance in this type of setting…Players like Selby are tailormade for these kinds of undisciplined games….But I hope he continues it, i’m expecting Bayless to be the 6th man to start the season,As Selby adjusts to the league and maybe challenge him after the all star break…….

aamir543ParticipantAw man, I was sure this was a post about the MVP of the table tennis league the GMs had. Word is that Daryl Morey left the middle of a meeting with Rob Hennigan to go play table tennis, or at least that’s what we want to believe, lol.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantGrain of salt. Bayless killed it before as well. The Season players are much better than what these guys have seen and the coaching and adjustments are on another level

r377Participantreport:
Bucks rookie John Henson was one of 13 players named to the Las Vegas Summer League All-Star team, along with fellow Buck Tobias Harris.
Henson made 8-of-9 FGs in the Bucks’ finale, and his polished game stood out in a typically pell-mell Summer League setting, where he averaged 18.3 points on 53.4 percent shooting, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. Perhaps most eye-opening was the range on his jump shot — he knocked down numerous long jumpers and was 2-of-3 from downtown in four games.0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/23/2012 - 3:39am #699323
Professor RozayParticipantWill Barton has got better during every game. I hope that he continues to work hard and play well during the season. He Should have been picked in the 1st round I really thought that the Heat would have drafted him. But I can see him getting playing time as a blazer.

Professor RozayParticipantyou would think that teams did a better job looking at the college players. With Lin coming and taking the league over by storm like he did he showed that teams scouting people are not doing a good job.

AfricanBallerFunny how you guys are saying he played Bayless out of a job. Do you not remember Bayless dominating the Summer League way more than this like 4 years ago? And he has gotten a lot better than that since than.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI’ll be Shocked if Henson averages double figures next season against top flight competition…The more i see him play, the more i see how similar he is to John Salley…Salley wasnt a star, but he had a solid career…

aamir543ParticipantMy cousin was in Vegas for the AAU tourney, and he wen to the Summer League this weekend, he got Norris Cole, Derrick Williams, Damian Lillard, and Will Barton’s autograph on a t-shirt, and he caught Coby Karl’s autographed jersey, lol. Did you know that every shot he made this past week(he made 11 shots) was a three, and every shot he attempted but one was a three, but he did shoot 64% from three, he might not be very good if a guy can stroke it like that I could see teams taking a flier like the Knicks did on Novak.
