bballjunkie09ParticipantI dont know about you guys, but rookies at each level in the draft have all ceased to impress me so far. I mean, if we go back a few drafts, most second round players and even late first rounders have either fallen out of the league, been inactive on most NBA teams or either not even offered a chance in the league at all. However, with this draft, it seems 85% have all signed on their respective teams and have somewhat of a role. Take for example Isaiah Thomas of the Kings. In recent drafts the 60th pick wouldn’t even be close to having a shot in the NBA. But it was just yesterday he dropped 15 or so points in a losing effort. Another example is Norris Cole. Noboby would expect the 30th pick overall to be contributing at perhaps a higher rate than the starting PG for the favorite contender in his first year in the NBA. Although some people say that this draft is considered one of the weaker ones because speculation persists there are not many distinct future all stars, overall the quality of this draft has really caught my attention with almost each player producing and far passing expectations in their rookie year. Did we really expect Iman Shumpert to be an agressive player for the Knicks alongside Melo and Stat? Did we all think Tristan Thompson was able to produce at a consistent rate as the 4th overall pick? Did we all expect Josh Harrelson and Jon Leuer to even make their teams roster at all? Each player perhaps has a chance to keep a career in the league for a handful of years to come. What do you guys think?

Tobe BryantParticipantI could always tell that Iman Shumpert would be a nice piece in the NBA, despite his inconsistencies with bad shots and turnovers. I could see his skill playing both guard spots being a GREAT translation to the league. He also played awesome in big ACC games. More rookies need more chances on these teams as well, including Darius Morris on my Lakers. I could also see Travis Leslie doing good work for the Clips soon.
