I’m not having a shot at the referees because they call the game as they are instructed to. I just think some rules need to be revised. I saw with the flopping rule how much that improved the game, and theres a couple of other things which I consider quite ugly. Note that I don’t have a solution, so I’d like to hear what you guys think.

    1) Rip-Through fouls – Seems like players doing this make it almost impossible to play defence. I’m watching James Harden and Kevin Durant go to the foul line constantly and it doesn’t seem like entertaining nor skillful basketball to me. because they’re not attempting a legitimate shot.

    2) Shooters jumping into defenders – I appreciate a good shotfake, but shooters are throwing themselves into a player as soon as they notice they aren’t in a good defensive position whilst simultaneously heaving up a shot they never would have otherwise taken. In a lot of cases the offensive player is equally responsible for the contact because they’re moving into the defender (who is also moving) yet will always get the call.

It seems that perimiter players are looking to draw fouls more so than be aggressive. If anyone else is frustrated by this and has a solution other than "just play better defense" i’d like to hear them.

I think the largest foul problem that still persists in the NBA is the use of an offensive players off arm to "create space" from the defender. Not only is this hardly ever called but happen multiple times in almost everygame. You are not allowed to stiff arm the defender so you can dunk the ball…

Well from what i saw though in the Thunder-Rockets game, the referees dealt with the rip through move pretty well. KD had like 4 rip throughs in that game alone wherein he lost the ball and the refs did not call anything. But yea, i really hate that kd kept whining after every rip through and that even though the refs made it clear they would not be calling it, kept doing it and expected them to call a foul all the time.
