Lotto StudParticipantIf a deal gets done anywhere from now until January, when will the deadline be in effect for trades?

PyronParticipantgood question but i doubt anyone would know since that is pretty far from anybody in the nba’s minds right now.
when the lockout is over they’ll have to plan out everything from the free angency.. the game schedules, the trade deadline and the 2012 draft positions of course.

Lotto StudParticipantSh*t that’s like 1 of the most important things I would be thinking about if I am a guy like CP3 or Dwight.

PyronParticipantthat’s true but i think they need to focus on getting the season started first 🙂

Lotto StudParticipantOkaaaaaaaay just "confirmed" on the new thread that "it’s a deal"
So with that being said, we can now discuss these major transactions that will be set to play before the deadline, whenever that may be.

Lotto StudParticipantWhat’s the move?
CP3-
Dwight-

TallmanNYCParticipantIf the season started today, both those guys would be moved before the trade deadline. DH wants to be on a contender, Orlando can’t provide that, and . . . every team in the league would trade their number two for DH. So basically, take every single team in the league and you can make any of their max contract players work for the trade. Melo for DH? Works and done and done for both teams. Bosh for DH? Works and done and done for both teams. Gasol and DH? Works and done and done for both teams. The list goes on and on.
CP3 is a little more difficult because of the injury concerns. But he also works and he is even more likely to leave at the end of his contract. So he has to be traded and everyone knows it. That makes him cheaper.

Lotto StudParticipantWhen it comes to the 2012 Deadline, I feel like Bart Scott "Can’t Wait!"
