NBA players who could be in NFL.
Barnes could have probably played in the nfl. He led the state of california in touchdowns his senior of highschool and could have gone to any college on a football scholarship. I spoke to some of his friends back in the day when he was bouncing around the league his first few years out of college and they told me he was seriously considering going to the nfl.
Mickael "Puma" Pietrus anywhere? Safety?
I know Allen Iverson played quarterback and was great in high school, but I don't think he could be an NFL quarterback. He would end up as a kick/punt returner specialist and at the slot maybe.
Cory Maggette at line backer would be ok.
I think Luke Harangody could play tight end, 6'7'' you know his frame could hold on to about 275 pounds and he's strong as hell with good footwork and touch. I could see him being a blocking tight end.
Charlie Ward? haha.
Anyways I doubt Dwight could catch the ball to be a TE. Hah as tall as Dho someone would go for his knees and he'd be out for his career. Guys NFL scouts would actually look for to be a TE would be guys like Jason Maxiel, Craig Smith, and Trevor Booker. Damn Trevor Booker could be a damn good TE. Strong, athletic, great vert, and only 6'6/6-7".
Iverson would be a great safety, in one game he had 7 interceptions which is a state record, also he was compared to Michael Vick as a quarterback, and he was a great kick/punt returner:
jon brockman either on the line or linebacker.
shannon brown free safety
jamario moon wide reciever
some of these people would be huge a 6 foot wr is the average 6ft 3in pretty good siza 6ft 5is big wr 6ft 7is huge 6ft 9in is monstorous the biggest ol men is 6ft 9in
Oh yeah I forgot about Shaq.
im pretty sure Glen Davis was an high school all american defensive end...also Iverson would be way too tiny to play quarterback in the NFL,like the previous poster said he would be a specialist returning kicks and lining up in the wildcat formation
Craig Smith looks like he would be good on the defensive line
Hah a little OT but this thread reminds me I was just watching pro's vs Joes and Donovan Mcnabb, TO, and Antonio Gates just beat Hakeem, Kenny Smith, and Rick Fox in 3 on 3. Haha Rick Fox is such a scrub. Donovan has some serious game. I loved watching Gates at Kent State but he's obviously let basketball go. TO's game isn't pretty but it's obvious he probably shoots hoops at home all day. Better get used to it though, lol.
Nate robinson could of gone NFL , Billups was all state quarterback so he packs up A. I or goes to Runningback, Kobe and Vince and Derozan as wide receivers, Lebron tight end
Dwight Howard, Carlo Boozer. Jason Maxiell for defensive ends and tackles
Shaq, Big baby Davis, Cousins O-line
Ron Artest, Ben Wallace linebacker
Corner Backs Nate robinson Chris Paul , Fred Jones
kicker Steve Nash
long snapper- Brian scalebrine
John Wall and Derrick Rose as your corners would be INT city. Hah as a Ravens fan trust me I've see softer CB's.
Eddy Curry o line (back up o line) or Jamarcus Russel 2.0
I think mike conley would be an all-pro CB...hes got the quickness and size (6'1'')...glen davis played D-End and RB
Jason Williams was qb for Randy Moss. In HS.
Nate Robinson was a sick running back in high school.
Ty Lawson-RB
Hasheem Thabeet- Designated Kick Blocker
Derrick Rose- S
Brandon Jennings- Slot WR
Avery Bradley- CB
Just to make the point of how valid a question this is, Jimmy Graham was a 4th round draft pick this year. He played one year of college football, and he wasn't the MOST talented athlete out there, although he is a big kid that can really run. I really think some positions, especially TE and WR, would be natrual transitions for Basketball players. My biggest doubt would be for defensive guys. Tackling is one of htose things that come with repititons. The guys that can hit at an NFL level have been doing it since they were in pop Warner.

I saw this on RealGM and thought I would post it here in my perspective and see what you guys think.
