There hasn’t been one created yet, so I thought I’d create one. What are everyone’s thoughts on the game so far? Lakers are currently up 77-64 with less than two minutes to go in the third quarter.

Kobe is killing offensively, and is doing so efficiently.

    Derek Fisher is playing well.

Boston’s wings are having trouble keeping up with LA’s wings with out fouling over and over again.

Lakers size is also giving the Celtics problems on the glass and on offense down low.

    1. I think the refs need to stop calling every single soft touch foul that they think they see on both ends of the floor, go back to the way they were calling the game during the LA – PHX series, where they let them play through the soft fouls.

    2. If the Celtics are going to win games they need to pick up the intensity and someone needs to start scoring from the outside so that the Lakers cannot simply crowd the paint as a reliable defense.

    3. Jeff Vangundy needs to be called out by Barkley for saying that Pau Gasol is the best big man in the game today. Top five, definitely, but the best? I think not.

Tell me who’s better than Pau Gasol.

The Lakers are killing the Celtics on the glass. The Lakers are definitely out to prove that they’re no longer soft.

Kobe is really showing why he’s the best player in the world. I think it’s time to put the who’s better between him and LeBron talk to rest.

At the Moment Pau looks great playing alongside a legit Center and when Bynum is not in the game, he also has Odoms length to help out in the post as well as Kobes presence on the court, but as far as being the best big man in the game I think that that title belongs to one of three people with Pau in forth. I would say that in my opinion Dwight belongs at the top followed by Bosh, then Dirk who is followed closely by Gasol.

However I do believe that out of those four players, Pau is the only one with the ability to both shoot well from the outside and have a legit shot at guarding other skilled centers in the NBA.

I don’t think Bosh is better than Gasol. Gasol is a much better defender and passer. He’s a better low post player/inside presence, defender and passer than Dirk too.

Gasol isn’t the shot blocker or freak athlete that Howard is, but he’s light years ahead of him at every offensive skill.

I know Gasol looks great playing now but I just have a problem with players who look great playing for the Lakers and then are not nearly as good elsewhere, I think that if Dirk, Bosh, or Howard was playing for the Lakers instead of Gasol, and had been for the past two and a half seasons, that they would be doing just as well, if not better.

Refs mesing up the flow of this game, Magic/Suns would’ve been fun with all the 3’s.

feels good right now. Some good signs for the lakers:

KG, Perkins, Big Baby, Rasheed Wallace=14 rebounds
    Pau Gasol=14 rebounds

Rasheed wallace was bad tonight. Dumb fouls, caught watching on some rebounds. He helped the lakers as much as the celtics

Rondo did not look like the best pg in the nba tonight

Up until 4th quarter, at no point did the lakers let the cletics go on a serious run. Celtics hung in there, but never really took momentum at any point until the 4th.

If people dont think James posey is gonna be missed, you are crazy. They just leave tony allen alone and that hurts the celtics too much considering rondo is also not much of a shooter and needs shooters around him.

Brown and Farmar both gave really good minutes in the 1st half.

Despite not putting up great stats, artest did exactly what the lakers would hope from him.

    Kobe was Kobe.

Lakers got over 100 and held the celtics under 90, so much for the great difference in defense, at least for game 1

What about Bynum? He looked very good in the first quarter.

bynum did his thing. I have to be a little cautious giving so much priase though becasue i know everything wont go right from here on out and the celtics will pick it up. However, not trying to rub anything in, but lakers aint tough? what was that about you are gonna smack the lakers in the mouth and show them how much tougher the celtics are then the suns? Oh yeah, and 47-0 in playoff series where phil jackson wins game 1. Not a bad stat if you are a betting man.

I thought the Lakers came out and punched them in the mouth. The Celtics didn’t recover.

KG looked ordinary today and Allen didn’t get going due to foul trouble. I expect the Celtics to play a lot better on Sunday night. They need to keep the Lakers off of the offensive glass. They gave up 48 points in the paint.

Kobe’s three at the end felt so… symbolic to me for some reason.

BTW, $10 will go to the first man who creates a .gif out of his reaction to Chris Rock.

LOL, Chris Rock got NO love. First phil tells him to to get the interview over with becasue the camera man is in the coaches box. Chris looked legitimately hurt. Then he is rappin something to Kobe and Kobe might as well have been in a whole nother arena, he was straight ignoring him.

And that 3 at the end meant tacos for the laker fans. It was the biggest shot of the game. And it gave him 30.

Kobe’s reaction or should I say… Lack of reaction to Chris Rock was crazy… That is one focused man.

This is even crazier than the way Kobe didn’t flinch when Barnes faked the ball at his face.

He’s so focused, he doesn’t even look around.. You’d think his neck was broke.
