NBA Finals Predictions

If you have read my previous forums on my Eastern and Western conference playoff predictions, then you know I have the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. If you haven't read them, here are the links. Eastern: http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/nba-eastern-conferance-playoff-predictions Western: http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/western-conference-playoff-predictions

Now, here are my predictions for the 2011 NBA Finals.

Game 1: (4) Oklahoma City Thunder @ (1) Chicago Bulls: Game one goes to the electric crowd in Chicago. The Bulls get a good win. A 15 point victory at home, and the crowd goes nuts! Every time Derrick Rose is at the free throw line, the crowd chanted "M-V-P!". Chicago fans go home happy with a comfortable 1 game lead. Chicago's Derrick Rose was the star of this game, scoring 28 points and dishing out 6 assists.

Game 2: (4) Oklahoma City Thunder @ (1) Chicago Bulls: Game two belongs to Chicago! The crowd starts the game louder than the last finished, and the Thunder just do not know how to handle the Post-Jordan championship madness. They get killed by 27 points in this game, and their championship hopes are slipping away real quick, and they realize they will have to beat Chicago in Oklahoma City to have a chance. Derrick Rose was the star again in this game, scoring 34 points, while recording 6 rebounds and dishing 5 assists.

Game 3: (1) Chicago Bulls @ (4) Oklahoma City Thunder: Bulls win game three. Oklahoma tries to start off the game loud, but just has lost faith in their team, almost entirely. D-Rose scores only 22 points and dishes out 8 assists. This game belonged to Carlos Boozer, as he scored 22 points and grabbed 12 boards. Chicago feels great with a 3-0 lead.

Game 4: (1) Chicago Bulls @ (4) Oklahoma City Thunder: The Thunder finally secure a victory, winning only by three points, and Durant sealed it with a long 2-pt jump shot with :03 seconds left to put the Thunder up by three. Rose attempted a half-court buzzer beater to tie it, but it rimmed out, and the Thunder fans finally had something to cheer about! But, game 5 was in Chicago and there was nothing they could do for their team. They had to win themselves. Durant finished game 4 with 30 points and 7 rebounds.

Game 5: (4) Oklahoma City Thunder @ (1) Chicago Bulls: The game and series belong to the Bulls and the wonderful city of Chicago. The crowd was what got the Bulls through, something that lacked in Oklahoma City. Bulls win by a good ten points, and Derrick Rose finished with 33 points and 10 assists, also providing defense with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Coach Tom Thibodeau wins his first NBA championship in his first year as an NBA head coach. Derrick Rose was awarded MVP, and it looks like this is one of many championships for both of these two individuals. Congratulations, Chicago.

Lakers vs. Bulls

Lakers vs Bulls.

I would like to see a matchup between Thunder and Bulls in the Finals because it would be something different but I know the Lakers will bring it in the playoffs no matter how poorly they ended the season. The Season does not matter come playoff time. Lakers kick it up to a whole other level and become practically unbeatable come playoff time. Besides it would kind of fun to watch Phil Jackson end his coaching career against his former team.

My heart says Bulls will win it, but my head says Lakers will 3-peat...again. So tough 7 games series, you know the classic Finals that all of us like to see.
