NBA Draft: Trey Burke Better Pro Prospect than Lillard?
Hard to say until Burke gets to the league, lilliard is just so good and he has passed all expectations. I think Burkes situation is alot like lilliard where he isn't expected to do alot at the next level yet he overachieves. I would compare Burke to a more efficient Raymond Felton/Kyle Lowry. It isn't likely but he could be a poor mans Chris Paul if he can overachieve alot like lilliard did, depends on the situation and team he goes to, would like to see him fall to a team that needs point guard help ASAP like Indiana, Sacramento, and Dallas.
I don't think that lillards potential is as high as some think and i just dont see him making a Derrick Rose or Westbrook like leap much like stephen curry really hasn't where you could see what kind of player he was goona become during his rookie season. While Lillard is already older than John Wall and Irving who have enormous potential.
He reminds me of a better shooting Isiaih Thomas who was a completely under rated PG at Washington. He also reminds me so much of DJ Augustine at Texas. I see a solid pro but not a franchise PG, but then again them 2 players didnt lead arguably the best team in the country.
I'd be shocked if Burke lands in the lottery..Despite him being the leading Player of the Year Candidate, scouts still view him of having limited upside and not a starter in the league...I remember back in 2004 Jameer Nelson was having a sensational season, fans, members of the media and some draft sites had Nelson as a lottery pick, but teams selecting in the lottery felt he would only be a backup..While Nelson is never mentioned in the same category as CP3,Rondo,D Will,Westbrook or Rose,he has proven that he's definitely a starter, can hold his own and get the best out of his abilities......Former Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy refused to allow then GM Otis Smith to trade Nelson when offers came up,becuz he felt Nelson was an important part of the team.....
Burke's game to me is very similar to Nelson....I see Burke going in the 14 to 25 range.....

i might be the only one but i think that Trey Burk is a better pro prospect than Lillard, Walker and Knight but obviously below Irving.
Offensively Burke has a more complete game than Lillard, Walker, or Knight while also being a much better passer than all 3 of them. He is NOT the next Chris Paul but his game very much resembles him . Burke can already run the Pick n Roll at an NBA level and can make plays few college players can. Someone on here said about a week ago that Burke has the most complete offensive game since Kyrie Irving which is definitely true.
Burke is averaging 17.8 points and 7.4assits on 53% shooting and 38% from 3 playing for the number 2 team in the country.
I Still say he is a lock to go in the top 10 with the potential to go much higher.
