I’m listing 10 players that I see either breaking out or taking there game to another level. The list is not a ranking of players, just random.

    1. Bradley Beal – (2015 Stat Prediction – 19.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.3 apg) – I love what I saw from him in the playoffs and how well he played with the ball in his hands. I see him havng a Jimmy Butler like emergence next season and become more of the go-to option for the Wizards.
    2. Aaron Gordon – (2015 Stat Prediction – 12 ppg, 7 rpg, 3.5 apg) – Played outstanding in the summer league and showed off his improved jumpshot. I expect him to be the staring forward this season (next to Tobias Harris) and getting easy points off lobs, putback dunks, and cuts)
    3. Tyreke Evans – (2015 Stat Prediction – 18.4 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 7.7 apg) – I know most would think "How could he be a breakout canitdate?". I would answer that Alvin Gentry will help his game. The Pelicans will be playing in a much faster pace and have tons more possessions this year than last.
    4. Otto Porter – (2015 State Prediction – 11,8 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 2.5 apg) – Really helped himself in the postseason being the Wizards stretch four. He fount his niche and he’s pretty good at what he do. He learned a lot from Ariza and Pierce, so I expect him to break out next year.
    5. Hassan Whiteside – (2015 Stat Prediction – 12.8 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.4 bpg) – This is a "prove me wrong" prediction because most would like to believe it was a fluke season and can be be the same player for this season.
    6. Elfrid Payton – (2015 Stat Prediction – 13.3 ppg, 8.4 apg, 5.2 rpg) – He really emerge late in the season and I honestly felt that he was the biggest challenger for Andrew Wiggins for ROY. He averaged 13 8.5 and 6 in the month of April.
    7. Festus Ezeli – (2015 Stat Prediction – 7.7 ppg, 6 rpg, 1,4 bpg) – Played a good role in for the Warriors in the finals and he is healthy this year. I exoect him to be the primary back up to Bogut next season.
    8. C.J McCollum – (2015 Stat Prediction – 14.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 4.3 apg) – The Trailblazers roster is totally different this season than last. CJ McCollum proved that he was due to breakout if the roster stayed the same in the playoffs. He averaged 17 points in the playoffs.
    9. Eric Gordon – (2015 Stat Prediction – 16.7 ppg, 3.5 apg, 44% from 3) – Eric Gordon is healthy now, I believe he needed offseason surgery throughout his tenure with the Hornets/Pelicans. In the playoffs he was a pleasant suprise by being the Pelicans second best player and that he still got that 3 point stroke. He will be playing in an offensive system that value the three ball and spacing.
    10. Doug McDermott – (2015 Stat Prediction – 11.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 40% from 3) – McDermott missed some qualtiy time with the Bulls last season and he didn’t play consistenly. I see the Bulls new system helping him out

Nice predictions , but I find it hard to believe Aaron Gordon will average 3.5 assists next season

You left someone off that list: Andre Drummond

One year under his belt with Stan at the helm, add stretch fours in Marcus Morris and Ersan Ilyasova, do-it-all rookie in Stanley Johnson, a third year wing with loads of potential on both ends of the floor in Caldwell-Pope, shedding a few pounds on his way to optimum conditioning and not to mention that big contract hanging over his head. Yeah, I’d say he’s prime for a breakout season.

Everybody says that every year, and yet he’s still the same overrated JAG every year.

      He’s not a winner.

i bet he’ll be a bigger breakout player than any listed in the original topic, possibly besides payton. i think drum dog millionairre will have a huge year this year without monroe clogging the lane for those pick and rolls.

I’m gonna put it out there….Big Banger will have a better plus/minus per 36 than Drummond this year.

Whoever want to make that bet….I’ll donate $25 to the charity of their choice if I’m wrong.

Save the screenshot. First one to hit me a counter offer of equal value is locked in.

I think your right on. He does not seem that interested in basketball and when he does interviews he seems not to bright. All the physical tools in the world but I doubt he ever puts it together on the court.

Rodney Hood- Without Exum, he will either start over Alec Burks or be the primary option of the bench.

Meyers Leonard- The departure of Aldridge and Lopez opens up a huge opportunity for him. I see Stotts starting him over Vonleh and Ed Davis.

Tony Wroten- First season playing without MCW there. I expect big numbers from this guy.

Kosta Koufos- Will get the bulk of playing time alongside Cousins. George Karl coched him in Denver and liked him a lot. I don’t see WCS getting much playing time under Karl.

Meyer Leonard will surprise a lot of people that dont know about him due to the fact that he played beside Aldridge and Lopez. He is extremly athletic and a very underated 3 point shooter.

I think Victor oladipo will take that next step this season and develop into one of the best all-around 2 guards in the league. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him average close to 20-5-5 with around 2 steals a game and get all-star consideration.

Noah vonleh barely got off the bench in Charlotte last season, but I liked what I saw from him in summer league. Hes a versatile offensive player that has the potential to be a pretty good defender as well. He should get an opportunity to play with Portland and I think he has a good chance to start alongside Leonard. I think we will see why he was a top 10 pick this year.

After a pretty awful rookie year, Ben McLemore showed a lot of improvement on both sides of the ball last season. Given his athleticism and outside shooting ability I expect him to continue to improve this year and expand his game more.

CJ mccollum will break out. They did a thread like 2 months ago of young SG who have not lived up to their potential and a desent as CJ was he is not even close to being the player he will be. I would say 80%++ of regular fans have never heard of him. He will breakout in the starting unit of the Blazers and be the second playmaker.

I think he can do better this year than his previous years as a pro, without exum he has all the oppurtunity to break out. I think Rodney will be the sixth man of the team.

Another Player comes to my mind is Faried, with the departure of Lawson who rely heavily on his 3pt shooting and scoring I think with Mudiay’s unselfishness and ability to go to the basket Faried will benefit from drop passes from mudiay, it will mean more improve stats from him if Denver doesn’t trade him

Delly. Now that he has earned Lebrons respect, he will get more opportunities.

Not every team is as tough as the Warriors. Hes going to be able to beat up some weak Eastern Conference teams with a stat line of 12/4/4

He will play plenty with Kyrie too.

Delly plays with more hustle than anyone in the league. Name someone that plays with more pure effort.

Actually, Delly’s lack of talent and complete inability to be an offensive threat were exposed, forcing the Cavaliers to sign Mo Williams. We will see even less of him than we saw last year. He may be feisty, but whether or not he’s even an NBA player is highly questionable.

Avery Bradley – constantly under rated but gives solid production. I expect him to up his scoring now that they have more effecient bigs and great roll men in Lee & Amir. 16, 5, 3 & a steal seems very reachable

Donatas Motiejunas – Was really coming along before his back injury took him out last season. He’s going to see minutes at both the 4 and the 5 this year, whether starting next to D12 or backing up him & Jones. Versatile game with nice post moves and an improving 3pt stroke.

I just spend like an hour writing up this post about under rated guys, but my internet failed, and I lost it. Here is pretty much what I said.

I’m not going to name people who are obvious like Olidipo, but stick to dudes who showed that they can play, and have a great chance of making a rotation and an impact.

#1- Tony Snell- Guy just gets it. Plays smart and within himself, is a good athlete, a good defender, and was just scorching hot from 3 for most of the year. He had that month of February where he shot 52% from 3 on 5+ attempts. That great. Ironicly he reminds me (and probably everyone else) of Jimmy Butler, and I expect him to make a similar leap. Not to the Jimmy Butler we see today, but to the 13/5/3 Jimmy Butler who still couldn’t create his own shot very well. I expect Snell to be a good player under Fred, and hope he cracks first guard off the bench for the Bulls or even starts. A lineup of Rose-Snell-Butler-Taj-Gasol is so long, athletic, and talented it could be scary.

#2- Clint Capela- Played 12 games during the year to playing all 17 games in the playoffs for the Mavs. He was effective in the post, and showed that he has the ability to be a great shot blocker in this league. He still is raw as it gets, but if he can break into the rotation than I wouldn’t be surprised to see him put up good numbers for a backup center, ala Ian Mahinmi

#3- TJ Warren- This guy is a stud, and can get you buckets in a varriety of ways. The Suns are in no mans land right now, and should def. look to develope their younger playes in Goodwin/Booker/Warren/Len. Warren has looked great whenever I’ve seen him play, and was very efficient from the field last year in limited minutes. I expect him to break out if he’s given the minutes

Eric Gordon has career averages of 16.8ppg & 3.4 apg and shot 45% from 3 last year.  So not sure how a 2015 Stat Prediction line of 16.7 ppg, 3.5 apg, 44% from 3 qualifies as "breaking out" or "taking their game to another level."
