I really don't like the 23 and under thing

Countries will lie about guys ages.... think Yi Jianlian in the NBA or any number of Latin American. MLB players who. Have fibbed about their DOB... Even little league with That kid who lied about his age.

I think that the only rookie

I think that the only rookie to be on the team would be Davis and with Rose and Griffin being out would drop the pool to about 14 players. This means that two would have to be cut. The odd men out might end up being Monroe, Curry,

Well Durant, Rose, Westbrook,

Well Durant, Rose, Westbrook, Griffin, Love, Davis and Harden all either made the team this year or would've (Rose) had he not been hurt. So that's 7/12 spots.

So you have 3 guards (2 PG's), one guy who can play either forward spot and 3 bigs.

Next I'd take Irving (best player left imo and a great compliment to the other 2 PG's) and Monroe (compliments Griffin's power and Love's shooting with his low post skill). Which leaves 3 spots for basically wings. Eric Gordon is the next best player left and fits the need so I'd pick him. Then I'd take Paul George and MKG becuase they both defend very well, play the wing, and don't need the ball.

Which leaves (realize Durant can play the 4 and all other bigs are essentially interchangable):

PG Rose, Westbrook, Irving

SG Harden, Gordon

SF Durant, George, Kidd-Gilchrist

PF/C Griffin, Love, Davis, Monroe

Only notable exception for me is Cousins, who honestly would be a great fit, but isn't the type of guy who I'd want on this team right now. Anyways that's how I would do it.

Klay > Auston RiversKlay was

Klay > Austin Rivers

Klay was already on the select team . Rivers hasn't done anything, was underwhelming at Duke and isn't exactly lighting up the SL

Griffin and Irving are both

Griffin and Irving are both hurt so not sure why you guys all have them on your rosters. I know this is a hypothetical question but hypothetically they couldn't play.

Hypothetically...if Kyrie was

Hypothetically if Kyrie was on the team...he wouldn't have been at the Cavs Summer League practice to hit a wall...

he could of broke it in USA

he could of broke it in USA basketball practice, you can't prove that he wouldn't. The fact that he is currently hurt you can't put him on the roster.

And what about Blake, he got hurt in USA pracitce, so why is he on the team?

Favors

Favors would definently be either a center or power forward, he has the best defense out of all of they others. His offense is really starting to come around.

Right idea, wrong format, they should make the world championships 23 and under and keep the olympics the way it is.

No mention of Jrue Holiday,

No mention of Jrue Holiday, hes still only 22 years old , can shoot the rock, is a huge PG that plays good Defense and hes a team player! I'd also add Avery Bradley, Jeremy Lamb and Damian Lillard onto that list of 23 and under players! cheers, Ryan

To Be Honest most of the players mention are Too Old

Only Anthony Davis is eligible to play in a 23 and Under Olympic setting...

The USA SELECT TEAM has a few potential stars/ Team USA Members

Pg- K. Irving- J. Wall- J. Holiday

Sg- K. Thompson - A. Burks

Sf- P. George - G. Hayward- K. Leonard

Pf- A. Davis - G. Monroe

C- D. Cousins - D. Favors

not to mention guys that could compete for spots like...

D. Lilliard, B. Beal, D. Williams, B. Knight, J. Sullinger, T. Robinson, M. Kidd-Gilchrist, J. Lamb and a few others I may be forgetting at the moment...anyone could jump up in TEAM USA rankings...

The truth is I'd love to see an UNDER 23 Olympic and World Games for all the Teams involved...

He'd only be there for 1 year, then we lose him

He'd only be there because he's a great shooter/ball handler...He's like a Mike Miller lite, or a poor man's Chris Mullin if he's ON FIRE...

A couple of the guys I listed on My Team would be 1 year Players...I think the only long term players would be Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving(who I think is 20 or 21)...

Swap out a players Like Leonard and Hayward for players like MKG and Harrison Barnes...

When Wall and Holiday turn 24, swap them out with Brandon Knight and Bradley Beal (Damian Lilliard is 23 now and wouldnt be eligible in a few years)

Swap out K. Thompson for Jeremy Lamb if he continues to play well in Houston

Swap out Greg Monroe with a player like Derrick Williams or Thomas Robinson/Jared Sullinger...

Pg- K. Irving - B. Knight

Sg- A. Burks - B. Beal - J. Lamb

Sf- P. George - H. Barnes - M.K.G

Pf- A. Davis - D. Williams(experience)

C. D. Cousins - D. Favors

Very nice post! I do see some

Very nice post! I do see some shades of a young Mike Miller in G. Haywards game! What do you think of Andre Drummond as a bigger, taller verison of Derrick Favors on team USA, when Favors is over 23? Could Aaron Gordon, replace some of Blake Griffins "WOW Factor" in the future? LOL

@ Cavs 420, I'm a huge Tyreke Evans fans BUT

He's not Team USA Basketball material right now and I think he turns 24 very soon, so he'd be out of the running in the future i we are to assume they pass an UNDER 23 LAW for International competitions like the Olympics...

Evans can't shoot, play the PG effective enough to warrant taking a Guard spot, not to mention he plays poor man to man and zone defense and You have the Main Reason's why Tyreke Evans want even be considered to be a member of TEAM USA...I love his talnet and wish him the best, but he'll never be a TEAM USA player, that much I promise you, He'll lead an AND 1 Mix Tape Tour before leading the Team USA to gold....
