valentineIs anyone else hypped about the new NBA 2K game? Spike Lee is the t.b.g. to "produce it". I guess that adds credibility
I’d love to see some real competition from EA Sports…who produce pitiful basketball games. Another NBA Jam would be good too.
Things I’d also like to see is improved passing. Making it quick to pass the ball and find open cutters and guys in the paint.
Steph Curry is going to be the most popular player because he will have an insane 3pt ratings. And 2k Hero ball is on another level.
Online 2 on 2 or 3-on-3 at Rucker Park would be cool.
I also like to see the player ratings. I legit get pissed off if they short change my favourite players. Word has it that Kobe is furious at his rating in 2K16.
When the game comes out, if anyone wants to play me online on PS4, bring it on. I’ll whoop you with Delly scoring 40. Others are welcome to make matches for Xbox versions.

BallerScriptParticipantFrom watching the #WINNING trailer and looking at the screenshots I have noticed that 2k have not done facescans, body scans and tattoo/hair updates. In the #WINNING trailer Steven Adams can be seen in the background when KD is celebrating and he does not have the beard, mo or hair cut he has these days and instead he looks exactly the same as he did coming out of college in 2k14. Perry Jones III posted his screenshot and said that it didn’t have any of his newer tattoos and that it is exactly the same as 2k13.

nick5354ParticipantI don’t expect alot all I want is the serves to be fixed so I can play online without insane lag. I really don’t care about any features or stupid add ons.

CynthiaParticipantPre-Ordered it on 07-14-15, been waiting ever since. I still play 2K15 occasionally. I play on PC via Steam and I just hit over 800 hours in NBA 2K15, though I don’t think I played it as much as I usually do every year. This was my first year playing it on PC and it was amazing, obviously the graphics are better and I can achieve a higher frames per second than a console can do.
I think the Spike Lee stuff will be cool. Anything will be better than the Pharrell Williams theme they had in 2K15. I really enjoyed the new MyLeague stuff where you could adjust how things go down in the season like trade frequency, player progression rate, etc. to make it more realistic.
I also use realistic game sliders that I find online because let’s be honest the base game is very arcade and incredibly easy. Even on Hall of Fame if I use the default sliders I will absolutely never lose a game to the CPU. But with adjusted sliders I can make it extremely challenging and hard, which makes the game infinitely more fun.
I don’t really like Online play, my connection where I live is not very good and lagging in a game like basketball where it’s all about speed & precision is not a very enjoyable thing. But I definitely put a lot of time in MyLeague & MyGM type modes. With my custom sliders I create a realistic NBA experience and always use fantasy drafts, which I let the computer simulate. It’s all about luck, sometimes you have a sick team and sometimes they’re just terrible. The terrible ones are more fun though, much more challenging to win with, and it’s cool to play them numerous seasons and improve them with training, trading, drafting, etc. I also play 12 minute quarters & full 82 game seasons. One season alone can take quite a long time to finish but I love it.
Anyways, the hype is real, for me at least. I’m ready for my yearly NBA game. Been buying an NBA game every year since 1994. Bring it on 2K16!

tuck243ParticipantI guess I don’t really play against the CPU 5 on 5. I play MyCareer and my teammates aren’t smart enough to play against the CPU on HOF. Plus the CPU uses the shot clock cheese (been this way for a number of years), get loose balls, offensive rebounds, every open shot, and make every post up shot. It’s nearly impossible to beat the computer on HOF in MyCareer because the CPU will have at least one player shoot 100% throughout the game. It’s like it trying HARD to make it competitve and just end up making it unrealistic.
I am interested in seeing how well Live does. I think it’s about time 2K stop BSin us with the gameplay engine and our aloof teammates.

CynthiaParticipantI don’t really play MyCareer, but with default sliders which is what MyCareer uses HOF isn’t even a challenge. Last time I tried to do an Association mode on HOF with default sliders I was 34-0 in my season record before I got bored and that’s when I started looking for custom sliders to give myself a challenge.
However, I can see how it might be hard in MyCareer since you’re handicapped by AI teammates. In 5v5 it’s much easier because you have a lot more control. Also playing freestyle/heroball on HOF can be a bit harder, but if you run plays you can score with ease. I usually put my shooting sliders down a few notches otherwise I lead the league with a ridiculous 60% field goal percentage. My shooting sliders are: 45 Inside, 38 Close (Because at 50 just about any post player can back down and score with ease), 41 Mid Range, 48 3pt. With these sliders I usually shoot a more realistic 39-46% depending on the opposing teams defensive skill.

Jr. ROXASParticipantI just want 2 things:
1) Please give people the option to change their sock length in My Career. It was possible 3 years ago but they removed it since. Why???
2) Give players the option to have a different shot base from shot release in My Career. A year ago, you could mix your form up, for example having a Tony Parker shot release but a Chris Paaul shot base. Now, they merged the 2 and the shot base will always be identical to your shot release. I don’t know about you guys but I am REALLY picky on my shot form.
Other than that, I love what they are doing with MyGM. Very detailed and creative and it really makes you feel like you are a GM of a team. A long ways from the Dynasty mode I was playing years ago in NBA live 2006 haha. Oh how much basketball videogames have changed.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThey’ve still not released any game play. #WINNING wasn’t really like actual game play.
I like that they’ve added more older teams, made some players look more like they do in real life (like they finally have Jamal Crawford’s face right) and they’ve added more features that should make the game more realistic, but there’s A LOT with just game play they need to fix. I don’t even feel like going over all of them… And also, the same as it’s been for years, they need to fix the servers because online play isn’t very good due to the lag.
I used to get super excited for the 2K release, but that excitement goes down every year because they fail to make the improvements to the game majority of fans ask for… Instead they focus on improving the "bells and whistles" instead. I personally hope that NBA Live catches them… I feel 2K has gotten comfortable.

BostonCs FanParticipantBeen a big fan of the 2k series since live took a major hit back in 2010. I’m excited to read upon the new gameplay adjustments they made, which range from, better passing, realistic balling handling, smoother player movement and much more. But I’ve been disappointed as of late since the new gens dropped, 2k hasn’t implemented there once popular game mode, the online association. Lately there version of online association has been online leagues which only lasts for a season with no offseason. Me and my buddies use to run a 30 man league and we enjoyed the perks of an online association where we got to sign free agents, scout/draft rookies and discuss trades.

Magic JordanParticipantI played both NBA games last year and have no doubt Live will keep improving as long as they keep following the Fifa formula. Online gameplay was significantly better than 2ks lagginess.
2k has been on top for too long and have made little to no progression on actual gameplay mechanics. Instead they switch controlled schemes every year and call it a new game.
If Live adds the feature of being able to play an online association with multiple people…. With no stipulations, I.E exactly how it is playing with multiple people onnyour local machine then I will be all in.
I just know that I can count on 2k to improve pretty much nothing while they disguise their lack of progress by throwing Spike Lees voice on a feature and calling it an improvement, when in reality its just a gimmick and the only way to force actual innovation is to stop buying their game…. Therefore that is what I’ll do.

mavrick1121ParticipantAnyone know if you can play 2-4 players on the same team in an Association like you could in 2k14? They took it away in 2k15 and that was what the boys and I played the most. Hopefully they bring it back or I won’t even buy the game.

MachettiParticipantI’m surprised nobody is talking about the rumored college teams in 2k. I believe I read somewhere that they got lincenses from 8 or so college programs. They will be part of MyPlayer, where your player can pick one of the colleges and play one college season? I’m not entirely sure if this is true? I Would love to have college hoops back! Even if you make random players for the colleges I’m sure someone on 2kshare would be able to edit and customize all them and then people could download the real rosters. That would be a great loop hole.

BallerScriptParticipantI rewatched the #WINNING trailer to see if there were any rookies in it and there are 4. Jahlil Okafor makes an appearance standing beside his teams bench. Walter Tavares can be seen sitting on the Hawks bench. Emmanuel Mudiay makes two appearances, one playing defense and the other watching Faried’s dunk. Karl Towns can be seen playing center at tipoff.

machu46ParticipantI’m beyond pumped for this game. The blogs about the changes to MyLeague/MyGM and the gameplay have this sounding like it could be the sports game of the year.
The gameplay in Madden has been surprisingly good this year and it should hold me over until 2K comes out, but I seriously can’t wait for this game.
