holefillers1ParticipantHe would sign a max here. No one else is giving him $23 mil. A year. I would sign Beal to the max first. At least force Washington to pay full price. I have no interest in overpaying for Allen Crabbe. Those are the guys you need to be able to find in the late first round.

apb540ParticipantThe signings are realistic if the Sixers are willing to shell out the money. Kind of impossible to say if the Lakers would do that trade, but I think they’d want another asset (Covington?) at the least.
That being said, I personally don’t really like the idea of signing Mike Conley to a huge deal. Just don’t really think it’s worth it for a guy who doesn’t have at least one tool that is truly great. Also, kind of hard to pencil in Embiid as a starter until we see him actually suit up & play a game (summer league, preseason, anything at this point).

markfitz14ParticipantSince the 76ers got the first pick and I think Simmons will be special. I would make an offer to get Ingram now. I think a legit offer for the Lakers to consider is Okafor and the 2017 Lakers pick returned to them.
76ers get a piece that fits well with Simmons now.
Lakers get a nice center they need. And will have a high draft pick next year no matter where it ends up landing given back to them.
76ers would need to sweeten the pot since they would be the ones wanting to make this move more.

negguaryParticipantMost definitely pass….okafor who could be a multiple time all star and a 20 and 10 guy, plus potentially a really goo player from a stacked 17 draft, for a potentially good player whose proven nothing in the league, ummmm let me call you back!

frogmanParticipantAnother day, another ridiculous sixers scenario. We will be here this time next year wondering if they should trade their top 3 selection once again.

BiggysmallsParticipantLol. Conley won’t sign with 76ers….because the Twolves are signing him. And they are signing Durant. And Horford. And trading the 5th pick for Jimmy Butler.
So those guys are all off the market.
I’m as big a fan of my team as it gets, and I’ll admit, I fantasize about lopsided deals and things that will likely never happen, but man some of the folks on here are just silly.

MattP31ParticipantMike Conley won’t sign in Philly. Also I don’t see any reason why the Lakers make that trade to pair Okafor with Randle. Not that I don’t see them being very open to dealing the pick, or taking Ingram or Bender, but I don’t see why they put a fit like that together unless they want to move Randle or think Randle is best off the bench longterm- something I’m not prepared to comment on considering the team he played with this year not being one to put him in a good situation to succeed.
If the Sixers want Ingram for Okafor they are going to most likely need LA to take Bender(I think it’s a little more likely than some think as they start to gain a little more Intel on him since he’s a bit of an unknown to most of the general public. But I do think that LA takes Ingram). Then the Sixers/Celtics deal suddenly makes complete sense to Philly

asmartin626ParticipantI was kinda thinking it would go like this…
sign Durant 4yrs 1.4mil
sign Conley 4yrs 963k
trade Noel for Jimmy Butler
trade Saric for PG13 and Turner
trade Oak for Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond
draft Simmons
Line-up of
PG- Curry/Conley, SG- Butler/Thompson, SF- Durant/PG13, PF- Simmons/Draymond, C- Embiid

wenichParticipantI like those trades and signings and agree that they would most likely be favorable for Philly. So I guess my only question would be do you think with that roster that they would improve to a playoff caliber team in the East as early as next season? (assuming Embiid stayed healthy of course)

Priest24ParticipantIn reality they should
Draft Simmons
Trade Okafor to Boston for the 3rd pick and a player potentially reingniting the 76ers/Celtics rivalry
Draft Dunn
Trade Noel to a team that needs a defensive stopper. Miami seems like a good landing place if Whiteside walks and they could possibly pick up a player like Richardson and a pick.
Pay Iverson and Erving to show up at games to keep public interest for 3 years or so.
Hope for a 8 seed in the 2019 playoffs.

theballerwayParticipantIm a bit puzzled by the repeated suggestion that Okafor should be traded, especially right now for a nother pick. I keep seeing boston (where he had a incident w/fan/heckler I thought). Is this because you all are expecting Embiid to be the guy in the middle and if so surely not this upcoming season( I expect some sort of minutes limit logically). this means yo would have Simmons and another rookie guard opposd to a bonafied post scorer at worst. Dont next years set of guards apeal more tthan this years (I do think Dunn could be nice if he can stay healthy)
Just seems like a waste, atleast wait to see if Embiid can still play and stay healthy for a few NBA games. You guys are sleeping on him for some reason . Or have I got it wrong?
