Having some fun with the Trade Machine…Made some realistic Raptors trades I would like to see happen. Only made 2 cause I got bored ha.

    TORONTO RECIEVES
    -Samuel Dalembert

    SACRAMENTO RECIEVES
    Reggie Evans
    -Leandro Barbosa

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4oe4ehn

Dalembert to Toronto is a perfect fit. I think it would be alot like Chandler to Dallas. He is a good defensive presence our players can feed off of. With Bargnani switched to the 4 on the perimeter and a strucured offense Dalemberts offensive role will be cut down to drop offs by the hoop, and offensive rebounds. Dalembert would be a nice anchor to have in Toronto and could make a nice home here especially after aqcuiring his citizenship.

Sacramento has a plethera of young bigs with no true leadership on the team and Evans is someone who can provide that leadership for guys like Cousins, Whiteside, and Thompson. Evans is a gritty guy and led the league in rebounding earlier in the season. Barbosa is a good true scoring SG something they dont have in Sacramento. His versatility and shooting touch would be a huge upgrade over Luther Head (who I was thinking about adding in the deal).

A variation of this deal could include Toronto adding Bayless and Sacramento adding Head if they need more incentive.

    TORONTO RECIEVES
    -Hasheem Thabeet
    -Keith Bogans

    MEMPHIS RECIEVES
    -Leandro Barbosa
    -James Johnson
    -Taj Gibson

    CHICAGO RECIEVES
    -OJ Mayo
    -Darell Arthur

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4leshhv

I honestly think this trade works out perfectly for everyone. Toronto gets rid of another scoring minded player who may fit into the system if toronto didnt already have so many capable Gaurds. With Thabeet you get to try to squeeze the potential out of what used to be a Top NBA Prospect. Weve seen toronto take a risk this year already when trading Stojakovic to Dallas for Aijinca. Everyone may hate on Bogans but at least he stays within his game, hits open J’s and trys to play D. he remains in the NBA because coaches love him.

Memphis gets rid of a tremendous talent OJ Mayo, althoug he has not been utilized very well in their system. They have tried to turn him into an bench scorer, and with Barbosa they would get everything they wanted OJ to be, instant offense. Taj Gibson is an extremely talented young frontcourt player with tons of value, and even the potential to permanently replace Zach Randolph if they choose not to re-sign him. James Johnson has some potential as a tweener andis worth a glance.

The Bulls pickup the SG that has been eluding them. Mayo would fit in perfectly to Chicagos scheme and would turn this team into an instant Championship conetender (if they arent already one). Arthur may not be a great defender but he is a tough player, gets points on the inside with good percentages and can rebound.

That second trade would be much better for the Raps.  We’d really improve defensively.

Why would the Kings of Orange County want to take on future money for a backup shooting guard?

Solomon Alabi, Alexis Ajinca… why not Hasheem Thabeet as well. We also might as well pencil them in for Lucas Nogueira while we are at it.

This is one of the most respectable REALISTIC trades I have seen on this forum. Good moves all across the board.

Lol I was thinking about that lately, I bet they get suckered into drafting Nogeira with the late Miami pick. At least they show a bit of an effort to moving Bargnani to the 4 right…

Or even worse, we draft Enes Kanter with our lottery pick!! I really want Kyrie Irving. Good trades none the less, Reggie Evans is one my favourite Raptors. I love his rebounding, hustle and the hard work he puts in every game. He reminds of Charles Oakley when he was with the Raptors. The Raptors really do need a C to push Bargnani to the PF position. The Dalembert trade makes a lot of sense for the Raptors but for the second trade I wouldn’t want Thabeet because in all honestly I’d much rather have Ajinca. Watching Ajinca at the Heat game, I saw he could hit outside jumpers and he hit some tough lay ups.

I think this works for both teams

Bargnani + Barbosa to indiana for Granger and Hansborough

Bird gets bargnani who can play PF nxt to hibbert making a formidable inside out presence, while barbosa can fill it up as a sixth man who is expiring, but would probably resign at a reasonable price.  Toronto replaces bargnani’s scoring with granger, and pick up a tough inexpensive kid who brings intensity and effort off the bench.  With Evans expiring and unlikely to resign (unless he’ll take a big pay cut) this trade works out well for both sides i think.

OhCanada this is not only one solid trade but two, good work!

I like bringing Dalembert into TO because his minutes and expectations are down in Sacremento and I really think he could be our starting Center for now (expiring contract but if play is good could get modest resign), plus he’s Canadian so that works.

Also, I wouldn’t mind taking a chance on Thabeet, giving him consistent NBA minutes night in and night out might turn it around for him.

Id rather take a chance on Thabeet then accept failure with Barbosa. Id actaully rather have Bogans on the team then Barbosa, the team needs guys that are just gonna play within themselves and understand their role is limited. With Barbosa gone it gives a true chance for Bayless and Weems to find their place in the NBA and on this team.

how about this 3 team trade

      Toronto gets

Rudy Fernandez – might actually stay, being european, and still has starter potential if he’s happy

      Hasheem thabeet – see above

      Memphis Gets

Andre Miller – veteran help and acceptable contract for playoff push

Leandro Barbosa – legit 6th man to replace unhappy mayo

Sonny Weems – has proven in TO that he has some potential, plus he’s expiring and adds flexability

      Portland gets

OJ mayo to replace brandon roy, who’s knees must have portland nervous about his future

Mike Conley – still has potential, not a terrible contract pg of the present/future

I think this trade benefits everyone.  TO gets to imports who might actually stay in TO after their contracts are up, unlike a lot of american players, memphis gets veteran help for this years playoff push, plus flexability for next year, and portland gets a replacement for roy and a good young PG – I know OhCanada will hate that i included sonny weems, but i’m just not as high on him as you are – his bball iq just makes me insane.  Fernandez is better at really  every aspect of the game offensively IMO, although they’re a wash defensively and both take a lot of bad shots

Ya Barbosa has shown he is still quite the player in TO but in doing so he’s taking away minutes from Derozan, Bayless & Weems like you said.

Plus as a Raps fan he’s putting them in position to win games which is just terrible for the Kyrie Irving sweepstakes

Would be a severe problem for Toronto. He doesn’t have the quickness nor coordination to play that position and he loses his mismatch potential offensively. Thabeet would be a nice project for Toronto to pick up, but he doesn’t fit their offensive scheme whatsoever. I do think they need to look into trading Barbosa, and find someone at the 3 position and Irving in the draft should be focuses.

Bargnani is still a massive mismatch problem at pf, and while he might not be as quick as blake griffin, he’s much quicker than Kevin love, zach randolph carlos boozer david lee elton brand luis scola paul milsap al jefferson david west and more…he’s good for 30 on every one of these guy anytime he wants, and thats just off the top of my head.  No bargs should be at pf, he cant guard C’s so its a wash defensively too
