Overall, I’d say it’s pretty solid. I do think Henry, Babbitt, and Udoh will go a bit higher though. Probably all top 15.

You are probably right but I would have to move some really good players down. Aldrich could slide though because of his height unless that was an error.

Sheltwon, before I opened your mock I said, “if Sheltwon still has Aldrich to the Jazz, then I’m not going to look at it any more”, and so, I don’t know how the rest of your mock looks, but please for the love of all that is good, put somebody else in the 9 hole. We’re not drafting Aldrich. There’s no way man. Reasons:

    1. If we’re going to go with a center, we need a long center… Cole Aldrich is not the answer.

    2. People here hate Greg Ostertag. I mean hate him! Ostertag is a swear word in Utah. I’m not kidding. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “but this guy is not like Ostertag. He’s athletic, and quicker and…”, we don’t care. He looks like Tag, he’s from the same school as Tag, and he kind of talks like Tag….

There are about 10 other guys that will be avalailable that we’d rather have, so Please give us Udoh, Patterson, Babbit, Davis, George, heck even Orton…. but no Aldrich.

    If I’m wrong, I’m wrong…. but I don’t think I am.

I take it you are a Jazz fan. I am waiting to hear what is going on with Boozer and other players before I change that because, the Jazz need a big man.
CJ Miles and Wesley Mathews seem to have sg pretty good.

Kirilenko may stay and he can play the 3 and 4.
    Milsap is there.
I may put Orton there and have Aldrich going to Toronto.

I like Udoh but unless Utah feels like they are losing Kirilenko and Boozer, they may not be the best move.

    George could work.

    I have Patterson going higher.

Babbitt is not the kind of player I see them taking at 9.

Davis falls into the same thing as Udoh

if the jazz had ostertag on the last couple seasons roster they might have had a better chance of winning the lakers. I would not say ostertag was hated in utah more like just made fun of easy. As a Jazz fan i wish the jazz had a player like osterfag right know.

But Bro, the Jazz won’t know what’s going on with Booz until after the draft…. right? It’s kind of like what happened to them when they first picked up Booz in FAgency. That year they had no idea who they’d get in free agency so they took a PF (Kris Humphries with their 1st pick… then they went out and resigned their PF from the previous year, and signed Booz and Memo. Had they known they were going to get those two guys, they would have gone another direction… but they didn’t know.

The Jazz like to play a little small ball where they throw Millsap in at center. If they have a chance to get a guy like Udoh (or if they’re lucky Monroe) who can play a little 4 and 5, then they’ll be solving a couple problems. A) they’ll have a PF that can play when Millsap is on the bench, and B) they’ll be maintaining flexibility if Booz chooses to come back. If they were to start next season with two guys that are strictly 5’s (Okur assuming he’s healthy, and Aldrich), then Aldrich would struggle for playing time, whereas a guy who can play both would have more opportunities.

I commend you for waiting on word from Booz… most fans don’t see the big picture enough to realize that he may still be a Jazz man next year.

    j1232e,
Do you live in Utah? Did you live here after he took his $50 Million from us? People resented him a ton for being a lazy… but I’d agree that more than hatred, we just kind of laughed at him… all in all though, most fans would agree that it wasn’t a positive experience.

I think Orton could possibly move up. I think workouts are helping him. He may be a year or two away but he has the width and length to be a Center and he has a decent offensive game. Jazz could take him because they can afford to wait a little. I am positive Kirilenko will stay and be their 3 man so a 4 or 5 is the best move. I am think Orton or Udoh could be picked up it depends on what they feel Boozer will do. I think Boozer will leave so pick up Udoh is probably the way to go.

I believe Patterson will go high. He can come in and play right away. Monroe will not be there for the Jazz. He may not be there for GSW unless Johnson goes number 4.

But then, watch all these trades happen that shift everything around. LOL

From what I’ve heard Aldridge’s stock has fallen a bit. I don’t see him going top ten anymore.

I’m hearing Babbitt’s stock is really rising. That he might go as high as 10 to Indiana. Can’t see him not going top 15 now.

You might have Bledsoe a bit high, and possibly Orton as well. I can’t see Orton getting picked in front of Udoh. But he could still end up going where you have him, with Udoh possibly going higher.

I agree that Patterson will probably go in the top 8 (and won’t fall past 10).

Golden State should take Monroe if the top 5 guys are all off the board.

He’s going MUCH higher. The Jazz are even strongly considering him at 9, as is Indiana at 10.

Aldrich is still the best option for the Jazz. Don’t listen to the n00bs.

It’s tough for me to see the Pacers drafting Eddie Davis.

Bledsoe at 12 seems like a reach.

Brackins to the Spurs is interesting… Good thought.

Hayward and James seem a little low to me.

Those are just my thoughts. Great mock.

You tell ’em, j1232e!!! I got your back son!

Udoh is a poor defensive rebounder..And lacks strength..He’s going to get push around in the pros…Whoever waste a top 15 pick on him should be taken outside and Stoned…Wesley Johnson has no post game..His great athleticism is whut made him look good at Syracuse..He’s going to have to learn to put the ball on the floor and drive by his opponent too get easy baskets in the pros..Expect him to become a Donyell Marshall type by his 3rd year…A guy that will be used for his outside shooting..Becuz i see him as a role player..Not worth a top 5 pick…Aldrich height was listed at 6’9 at the combine..Thats going to drop him to the middle of the round…

why you don’t have Tommy Mason-Griffin, Manny Harris, Aubrey Coleman, Miroslav Raduljica, Jerome Randle, Ryan Richards, Alexey Shved in your draft?

I was thinking about Tommy Mason Griffin, Manny Harris and Colemon not so much. I dont know who Radulijica is.

Randle will probably be picked up by a team undrafted.

I could not find Ryan Richards but i am high on him and will put him on my draft

that last guy I have no idea who he is.
