SpacegrassParticipantBrother if Draymond Green gets selected before Zeller I will give you a hundred dollars. If Wroten and Teague get selected before both Marshall and Lillard I will give you another $100. Lots of reaching going on in this draft , please explain some of your reasoning?

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantKendall Marshall, John Henson, Tyler Zeller and Damian Lillard are way too low

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantTyler Zeller isn’t all that different than Cole Aldrich from a few years back, and I think most teams will pass on a back up C until the 20’s, although Milwuakee seems like a fit at first sight I believe they’ll look at Leonard before Zeller, he’s younger and has more potential on defensive, although both are a reach at 12, I think The Bucks go big and draft Meyers Leonard to play Center, with Udoh and Sanders playing Pf…
Draymond Green will be a 1st round pick, and I do think he fits in with Cleveland at 24, he has some range and can be a veterna pressence although he’ll be a rookie, he’s from a good school and has been coached by one of the bset in the world, I think people sleep on him because he doesn’t jump out of the building or wow you with his skills, he and MKG would provide instant toughness, defense and most Importantly a Winning attitude…We’ll revisit this in a month to see if you owe my a Hundred Bucks LOLLOLOLOL…
Also i think people are over rated Lilliard and Marshall a bit on this site, Lilliard is a mid major Shoot first Pg in the mold of Mo Williams, Mo went in the 2nd round folks even though he’s cash from outside
If I where drafting a Point Guard ,would I want a Mid Major Shoot 1st Pg or a National Championship Pg with more NBA potential and a built in relationship with Anthony Davis??? Give me Teague at 16 like I suggest in this Mock Draft…
Also Wroten Jr is the polar opposite of Kendall Marshall, Kendall while solid at passing the ball(his only NBA skill might I add) doesn’t have half the NBA potential of Tony Wroten Jr., and I project Wroten as a combo Guard in the mold of Tyreke Evans, so The Magic who need a boast in talent would surely want Wroten over Marshall…

SpacegrassParticipantMy offer stands.

kobyzParticipanti like the Boston – Suns tradee, i think it’s reasonable!!
i didn’t like the #3 for #6+#11 trade, not fair value in this type of draft and i didn’t like the Warriors – Philadelphia trade, the Sixers will not move Iguadola anywhere, he’s fan favorite, the soul of the team and their cornerstone together with Holiday.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/06/2012 - 1:01pm #677770
Sewok15ParticipantWhat is with the Igoudala trade? He just goes straight up for Sullinger? I don’t think so.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantIt was hard to peg him to a Team because most that will need a Pf will have drafted one already, and he’s not strong enough to project as a Center, but if someone thinks he can develop into a Center in the mold of Camby then he’ll go very early, I agree it seems low righht now but The Tar Heels under achieved this season, besides Harrison’s stock staying steady and Zeller putting up decent numbers they’re wasn’t anything to be exited about, Sure Mashall is a solid Pg, but he’s not athletic enough to defend the quicker Pg’s and he can’t shoot off the ball, Zeller will be a carrer back up and I’m not reaching on a backup C until the 20’s, sorry…Henson will ahve to show up in great shape to get a sniff at the lottery, so 16 to 24 is his projected area IMO…
Kobyz, I live in Philly and Iggy was the least favorite Sixer this year and by a lot, he’s been forced out of town on several occasions and besides the knowledgable fans that realize he’s a great defender and point forward they couldn’t care about him in Philadelphia…The Sixers are making a change this Summer, count on it…
The Blazers dont need or want 2 rookies, they want the Center of the Future, they want Andre Drummond
They are fine at Pg, they have Ray Felton a RFA and Johnny Flynn under contract, and they are rumored to be interested in Aaron Brooks and Goran Dragic…So Lilliard and Marshall at 6 or 11 makes 0 sense
They also have Wes Mattews and Jamal Crawford under contract, so need for a Sg just yet, sorry Beal, Lamb and Ross projections…
They are resigning Nicolas Batum and Aldridge is the franchise Pf, so that rules out Barnes, Robinson, Sullinger, PJ3 and company…They aren’t going to reach for Leonard at 6, and taking him at 11 seems a bit drastic too, although the Bucks select Leonard after the Blazers would in my mock that’s a different set of circumstances all together…The Blazers have to get Drummond at 3 IMO, trading back and allowing Robinson to go home to Washington makes sense for both teams, losing the 11th pick means nothing if they can assure themselves the best frontline possible

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantand the Sixers would likely give up the 54th pick to The Warriors as well…This trade as been talked about on the site, on Local radio shows and The Warriors have long coveted Iggy…They are not looking to add a rookie and are willing to trade the 7th and 35th picks in the Draft for an All Star worthy Sf, like Iggy, Deng, Granger, Gay etc. etc….
So in reality this trade is very much possible…The Sixers are looking for a Pf post Elton Brand…I hope that explains some of what I’m thinking and I know from sites and sources…

HitsterParticipantLillard is way too low but some of the trades are interesting, I think that Philly might want a slightly higher pick back and would GSW want to take on Iggy’s contract unless they amnestied Biedrins?
But overall a very interesting mock.
I’ll +1 you as I’ve lost mocks on my PC numerous times before.

FUNKYBUNCHParticipantI like it- because it’s different and you were not afraid to just put down trades on the line here. It’s not exactly the order I would have put the players, but then everyone’s opinion is different right now. There are always draft day surprises too… we will just have to wait and see til draft day.

flybobbyflyParticipantI love the first round. I like the way that your not afraid to disagree with the nbadraft.net consensus and bring a fresh look and fresh ideas. I look forward to hearing your ideas about the second round.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI realize that alot of people will think I’m crazy right now for droping Beal to 10th, I’m suprised not one user mentioned that, I thought I was crazy for posting it, but In reality If Beal doesn’t measure out to be 6’4 in shoes he could drop to the 8th through 10th area…So far Lilliard the shoot first Pg is my biggest compliant, I’m not a huge fan of Mid Major stars, but I do like Lilliard, I just think 6th Is insanly high for him, and I can see other teams and their GM’s look at other guards…
The Same goes for the pure point guard Kendall Marshall, I think players with limited upside and no real NBA skills outside of passing in Marshall’s case do not get drafted in the lottery, hell Mario Chalmers had a few NBA skills and he was a National Championship Pg and he was drafted Where again??? That’s right the 2nd round…
I also think Marshall is higher than he should be in most people’s mock draft right now, when they realize The Draft is about potential, size and Team Need they’ll realize Marshall is a mid to late 1st round pick at best…He needs to be taken late to backup a veteran not become the future point guard of a Bad team…If you really think Marshall is going to any better than a solid backup you must not watch basketball, he’s a very good passer, but that’s about all he does well IMO…

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThe Heat, they could use a backup Pg IMO, Cole is a scoring Pg or small Sg ala Lou Williams, they could a player that sets up the second unit or psuhes Chalmers for his starting gig, and Chalmers will be a Free agent soon, insurance policy anyone???
The Bulls, they just lost Rose for the year and with their late 1st rounder could draft a steady 1 year replacement in Kendall Marshall, next year Marshall can be the backup or they start Rose at Sg if Marshall overachieves in Chicago
The Thunder, Fisher will not be around forever and Maynor has fallen off the map IMO, they could use Marshall as a backup to Westbrook and heck Marshall could become the starting Pg and allow Westbrook to play some Sg
The Warriors with the 30th pick, I can see some Mark Jackson in Kendall Marshall, he could learn a lot from him and he could be the starting Pg allowing Curry to play Sg or become the super sub( I know that sounds insane but Curry could be a killer 6th man with Kendall and Klay in the starting backcourt)…If they trade the 7th for Iguadola, draft a good backup Big with 30th pick, someone like Royce White or Andrew Nicholson that would be amazing
The Warriors could start Kendall-Klay-Iggy-Lee and Bogut, and bring Curry off the bench to light it up every night, it could preserve Curry’s body for 82 games plus, he would be in the 6th man race from day 1…Add a few picks late(30th, 35th and 52th) and they have something to look forward too…

F_Sits actually really bad……
try again
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/06/2012 - 3:15pm #677821
Sewok15ParticipantCurry is their franchise player so I don’t think he will come off the bench anytime soon. I don’t think they will trade for Iggy either. Marshall will be drafted in the 12-20 range and won’t be around yet at the end of the first round.

GrandmamaParticipantHenson falling to 23 is a head scratcher

F_Sthe entire mock is a head scratch, this is the worst mock i’ve seen some1 post i think
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/06/2012 - 5:44pm #677880
F_Sthomas robinson and terrence ross > drummond
damian lillard and moe harkless > austin rivers
and the 14th and 16th pick are more valuable than the 10th where houston could get a center in zeller/leonard and marshall/lillard or wroten/waiters
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/06/2012 - 6:34pm #677913
NashyMingParticipantIf Beal is available at 8, I have a hard time to take Lamb over him.

HaleParticipantI’m not that high on Lillard but I really like Marshall.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/07/2012 - 8:37am #678172
The Scare Crow RisesParticipantAfter day one of the combine I feel a lot more confident in some of my picks…Green will be a 1st rounder
