According to Woj, he was considering it but now I am seeing that he indeed is gone. It is unknown as to where he will play but this certainly has to hurt his draft stock, no?

Odd decision to me unless he needs the money now. Playing at SMU against less than ACC level competition in the AAC, under Larry Brown, and with his brother seemed like a great fit.
I don’t see this being able to help his draft stock too much when he’s aleady projected to go Top 5. Way more downside to this than upside for him in terms of his NBA stock.

Is he taking the Brandon Jennings approach and playing for pay for 1 year while he waits on the NBA Draft next June?
I am curious as to what his reasoning is and what position he plays at the next level…

According to him he wants the money to help his family out. And that’s fine, it’s one of the things people hating on the current college system forget, no one has to go to school. If you want to get paid, both overseas and the nbdl are options.

Damn shame, Larry Brown would have been great for his development, not playing just once a week which he’ll be doing overseas.

I completely agree that guys should go overseas or play in the NBDL instead of going to college not attending classes and making an absolute sham out of the system…….thanks Rashad McCants.

I am extremely curious what team he is going to pick. Will he go for the most a team can pay of somwhere that he is sure to get a lot of playing time (Jennings didn’t get as much playing time as expected)
