I don’t know about this guy.. I don’t like to talk too much about a player unless I’ve seen him play personally. Not YouTube and not highlight clips. From what I hear, he’s the next Dirk or Andrea Bargnani. Who knows.

I saw him in a French tournament where Sullinger and Tristan Thompsin where here. Let’s say that he looks like a more athletic version of Nowitzki, able to grab rebounds and dribble like a guard, score inside, shoot three. He still has to put more effort as he relies a lot on his natural talnt but I think that once he’ll be in the NBA, he will be motivated to show what he’s worth.

Comparing him to Dirk (arguably the greatest Euro-NBA player) is a bit too much if you ask me. I prefer the comparison to a bigger version of Bargnani. I think Bargnani is a bit more of a 3/4 as opposed to Motiejunas who I think is more of a faceup shooting 4.

Remember Dirk when he entered the League coming from Wurzburg? Remember his rookie season at Dallas? Motiejunas is much more advanced than Nowitzki at the same age, now that doesn’t mean he will reach Dirk’s level.

True. I never watched Dirk when he first entered the league so I don’t have a great idea of his overall game when he first entered, but I mean he is one of the best shooting big men in the history of the game. I just think some people may end up expecting Motiejunas to have that type of career , which I think is a lot to expect from any prospect especially one like him where the NBA is going to be a completely new experience.
