i like how you add kobe's not very great at the ned as a side note. You go from making a valid thread about past accomplishments to revealing your true intentions wich is that this is like your 47th anti Kobe thread this month. Congratulations. You have called him pathetic already today and said he doesnt even deserve to be in jordans shadow and that winning those 3 titles with shaq as the main option is not better then being a robert horry since he wasnt the man. We get it. You hate Kobe.
kobe isn't top 10 in that either
Magic and Duncan have had clearly better careers minus HIV. Bill Russell is the second best player ever. People need to recognize. Shaq is debatable.
Kobe is only 31. He's got a lot more to go before we talk about him in the same sentence as michael folks
yeah i get it. You hate him and you said he pathetic. And just becasue YOU say that magic and duncan have had clearly better careers doesnt make it true becasue actually lots of people have sadi otherwise. WHo has more rings, kobe or duncan? Oh wait, that doesnt matter becasue kobe was carried by shaq wile duncan won them all alone.
oh yeah, and i have a stat for you too.
i get sick of the kobe dyck sucking marathons real quick. People need to realize hes the best right now of all time. He is not top 5. The past greats are still better. People like to think there generation is better than the past
Its still a valid post. great info for basketball fans. the kobe hating is just for some extra kicks
i have him number 2. Other then mike, there really isnt anyone with a clearly better resume or career.
go farther the lakeshow this year
I don't think you should include ABA MVP's when pitting these all-time greats against each other because there were so many fewer players in the ABA. Dr. J might have won 3 ABA MVP awards but I'm pretty sure we're talking NBA here, and I think of him as only having won one. Also, none of these are technically stats, they're records. I would argue that PER is the most important stat of all-time.
One my favorite facts has always (or for three years I guess) been that Nash has as many MVP's as Kobe and Shaq combined.
Nash should have 1 mvp and that was the year dirk won it. Iverson should have won when nash got his first and kobe should have won when nash got his second.
"One my favorite facts has always (or for three years I guess) been that Nash has as many MVP's as Kobe and Shaq combined."
My most favorite fact is that Adam Morrison has more championships than LeBron, Wade, Dirk, Melo, CP3, Dwight and many, many more.
Kobe is 31 and has 5 rings and 7 finals appearances. If Jordan stopped playing after he turned 31 he would have 3 rings and 3 finlas appearances. So a little early to comapre their careers. Lets wait till its all done and then revisit these "stats".
Kobe came right out of highschool so thats not really a fair comparison, but when you look at stats for who was more consistent and efficient Jordan is way ahead of Kobe he also averaged less turnovers, more rebounds, and more assists, but overall I agree lets wait till its all done
I honestly think that the most impressive factor about Jordan is his perfect playoffs record after his first championship (barring his half-season). After he got to the top, he stayed there and never failed to deliver and win in the Finals. 100% Finals record, how's that for the most important stat?
But yeah, Kobe is a freaking beast, and its hard not to put him close to the top all time.
How can you hate on Kobe for being the number 2 option on championship teams w/ Shaq when Bill Russel played on basically all-star teams in Boston?
i remember there was some website who did a formula, and added everything up. when they were done plugging everything in, MJ was at the top.
"Nash should have 1 mvp and that was the year dirk won it. Iverson should have won when nash got his first and kobe should have won when nash got his second."
Wow, I always thought that Nash should have won his FIRST MVP when Dirk won...Thought I was the only one out there who thought this. As for the first one Nash one, Shaq should have won. The second one was Kobes! I agree with you here. Greatest offensive season since a young Jordan.
I completely agree with llperez. You went from making a solid thread to looking like a loser and a Kobe hater.
thread is still the best one out there. and bill russell won 4 MVP when his team won titles the same year.
He was the best player on his team. 5 Total MVP's. Lightyears ahead of kobe
