Most ambidexterous players in the NBA
Pau gasol- finishes well with either hand.
Joakim Noah-when he shoots, I don't know what hand he is using.
Carlos Boozer is up there for sure. Brandon Roy is great at using either hand. Dwyane Wade. I think that it has become a required skill to play basketball at a high level, though some are definitely better than others. But when I think of ambidextrous, Boozer usually comes to mind. Plus, I know it is immature, but finishes with either hand, whether applied to Pau Gasol or not, is hilarious and gross at the same time.
I agree with boozer, i think he uses his left more then the right i remember talkin about that with my bro during the game one time... but another guy i would say is KG and also bosh likes to use his right a lot to

I Think its kobe bryant......the guy actually shot a 3 pointer in a game with his left hand.......but i think basketball is Known as the most ambidexterous sport....so the question is who can't play with their left hand or their opposite hand.....
question: have u seen kaman play and why is kobe so low on that list? kobe finishes with either hand better than any player in the league right now. and derrick rose usually finishes with his right hand so idk how ambidextrous he is. and kaman really uses either hand in the post quite well.
I remember him hitting that 3 with his left hand. I also saw a video where he was nailing half court shots with his left.
Best player I've seen who could use either hand equally was Paul Westphal. They used to have horse contests at halftime in the 70's and he'd beat everyone using opposite hand shots.
I'm hoping mikeyvthedon was talking about Carlos and not some of the two fisted drinkers I know. : )
see kobe use his left because he is a player that shoots jumpers to open up his opportunity to take it in , not a player that takes it in to open up his jumper by players playing him for the drive
kobe uses his left a lot around the basket. Also he dribbles very well with the left. A number of years ago he broke his right hand in a game and took both his freethrows with his left. During the time off he just practiced left handed.
One of the best all time ambidexterous players was Sarunas Marcilounis. He could play with either hand and was known for playing tennis with 2 rackets. Also, I believe I heard basketball was the only thing Derrick coleman did with his left hand.
Bo Kimble made the best opposite hand shot. A free throw in tribute to fallen teammate Hank Gathers.
Also remember Greg Oden shot his free throws left handed as a freshman at Ohio State do to injury.
Steve Nash, Rasheed Wallace, Greg Oden.
rasheed can/has shot two 3 pt shots with both hands simultaneously...you should probably be able to you tube it. it was a true hoop post a while back.
he said the key is to shoot one higher than the other.
We descend from apes, and in our past our feet were used fro things like picking our nose, throwing sticks at our friends ... Considering that he uses both of his hands very well, AND can also use his feet, that is three/four appendages with which the man can score. That takes the cake
Plus he is so good without using his feet, that being a master of the kickpass only adds to the legend.
lmao at people who dont know what ambidextrous mean
David Lee is easily the best ambidextrous big man, hes actually naturally a lefty and broke his hand in middle school, and had to learn how to use his right
Makes him very unpredictable, and also makes him an offensive threat
I remember Jay Bilas making it such a big deal on draft night. I dont know if he has done it much in the NBA though as I havent seen him play much being on the Grizzlies, and the low market team that they are.
You have to throw in both Mike Conley and Josh McRoberts because they're both actually ambidexterous. In middle school and high school, we couldn't tell if McRoberts was left or right handed.
He's in college right now but he can finish with either hand and it shows in his 67% field goal percentage. He makes around 30%-40% of his foul shots but other than that he is unstoppable down low. I can see him going late first to early second round next year. Maybe to a team like the Cavs who will probably have a late first round pick. Or maybe Minnesota who should have an early to mid second round pick.
Because almost every player can play or shoot with his oppisite hand... Bill Walker was shooting 3's with his left hand in 8th grade... I watched this with my own 2 eyes... So, don't give me crap on this... Players to use their opposite hand the most are- Boozer (No one does it as much as him), B-Roy, Lee, and Beasley... To the nut who said Derrick Rose jump off the bandwagon... Although he uses his left hand sometimes, its doesn't mean it as great as other players...
What player don't drive with his opposite hand? Name one? I'm waiting? And finishing I bet I could give you more highlights on youtube with Beasley finishing with his right hand, than you could give me with Rose with his left... And I watched games where Beasley scores just as easy with the right as he does with his left... Matter of fact go look at the scouting reports on this site before they got drafted... You NUT...
WOW ur awfully dumb im not saying Beasley dont use his right hand at the rim but he only drives left rarely right ( he has a ton of potential on offense but he has one move on the perimeter its a triple threat with the ball real low and he swings the ball left and drives down the lane)
Beasley... "....He has range from anywhere on the floor all the way out to NBA three, but is especially effective with his soft touch around the rim, where he uses both hands to finish with a variety of moves." And there you have it...
He takes maybe 2 dribbles (if he does that, normally its one) to get to the rim... Say he doesn't have handles... Don't say he's not as ambidexterous as D. Rose... And you put D. Rose at number 2... I could name 10 players that use their opposite hand more than him finishing...
d rose doesnt use both as much as beasley..beasley doesnt just use both to finish he switches it up and shoots jumpers with either hand..i dont know any other players that do that..ive seen alot of players that use left and right as much as lebron and kobe does..ive seen neither of them shoot a jumper with both hands
youve never seen Kobe shoot left handed? I've seen him shoot about a half dozen jumpers left handed including a 3 he nailed against Dallas a few years ago.
i really cant say ive seen a half a dozen...but i have seen beasley shoot every game switching hands....he was known for that in hs and college also..dickie v said he never seen a player switch hands as much as im to shoot a jumper...kansas st vs kansas the first time i think

one of the most underrated skills, that is very important for finishing and driving and this makes unstoppable in the lane because u can drive either way and be equally effective
my top 5
1. LeBron James
2. Derrick Rose
3. David Lee
4. Jermaine Oneal
5. Kobe Bryant
any others?
