I realize he is only a freshman, and that people say he is over hyped, and so on and so forth, but I just wanted to post the report on CIA Bounce for this weekends Boo Williams EYBL Tourney. Yes, Andrew Wiggins is quickly becoming the most over posted topic on this site next to Bismack Biyombo (and his name is not even close to as fun to say), but he really impressed with his play during the event. Very exciting prospect, and while I do indeed have no idea if he maintains his ability throughout his HS career, and know he has to work on multiple aspects of his game, his early career has been VERY encouraging.
Calling anyone the next LeBron James is a mark that will more than likely be unattainable, but Andrew certainly has a build and skill set that has helped him compete with older players. He was probably the 2nd most important player on the CIA Bounce team behind Anthony Bennett, who is going to be a senior in HS next year. Plus, I heard he played with a nice motor against this strong competition and that he got the better of Julius Randle, who many say is the best prospect in the 2013 HS class (and is 6’9 and 230 pounds). So, I am not saying Andrew is can’t miss, or that he will be a future superstar, far too early to forecast and there have been many like him who have come into certain issues that stopped it from happening. But, I just want to say, he is another reason for Canadian and American basketball fans alike to get excited about a very promising prospect who appears to be very advanced for his age. Very hopeful in where he is at, and just hope he keeps working hard to maintain his spot and build on his ability.

LakerQAndrew Wiggins, SF, CIA Bounce – This cat is the absolute real deal. There is no hype with this one, it is all true. Wiggins showed he is an excellent athlete, he can make jumpers, and also is very good at putting the ball on the floor and going to the rim. He was the best player on the floor all game long, and the 2014 prospect showed why some consider him to be the top player in the class.
Thats the write up on him from Scout.com insider against Julis Randle. Also played damn near lock down defense on him. Another Micheal Gilchrist is the comparison right now

NashyMingParticipantI am really excited for Canadian Basketball in a few years. The team is loaded with NBA-level talent
Myck Kabongo / Kevin Pangos / Cory Joseph
Andrew Wiggins / Negus Webster-Chan
Anthony Bennett / Kris Joseph
Triston Thompson / Kyle Wiltjer
Khem Birch / Sim Bhullar
Please get rid of both Leo and Andy Rautins, we won’t need either of them to screw up our youth movement.

OhCanada-ParticipantPlease dont put Sim Bhullar on that list. Id much rather have Robert Sacre or Andrew Nicholson. Andy Rautins game is suited for International type play so I wouldnt mid seeng him on the mens team.

LakerQBennett is gonna need some time. Athletic but raw on offense and doesn’t rebound like he should considering his athletic ability
