Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipant"The Trail Blazers, Lakers, Hawks, Bulls, and 76ers are among the teams expressing the most sincere interest, league sources said Thursday. A possible deal between Golden State and Philadelphia involving Ellis and Andre Iguodala is a “50-50” proposition at the moment, a person with knowledge of those talks said"
As a Lakers fan I would love to get Monta Ellis but I don’t know what we could give up for him. I don’t think he fits with the Bulls, and maybe the Hawks want him as a replacement for Crawford, but will they have him and Teague coming off of the bench or will they move Hinrich to the bench. The 76ers is a good spot, and the trailblazers are an off team who may use Greg Oden as a bargaining piece with the Warriors, and then maybe the Warriors will draft someone like Alec Burks or Jordan Hamilton in the draft,

boshjonesfordParticipantwould the lakers fans be willing to give up bynum for ellis…GSW could use a big + lakers can use an exciting PG/SG like ellis

JordanC20ParticipantHawks is the best fit in my opinion.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWe trade away a great defender and playmaker that can score and fits with every team in the NBA, contenders and rebuilding teams alike, why would we give the ball to Monta thinking he’ll help Holiday and Turner become better players next to a ball hog, Turner wasn’t drafted to be a 2nd or 3rd guy was he, Holiday can’t run an offense with a ball dominant Sg like making 30 or 40 shots a game, how far can that team go without a guy like Iggy on the roster, Sorry we lose big time in this deal unless we get Monta, the 11th pick and Biedrins in return as well…they would have to take Brand too, I dont see that happening so why would we be at all interested in this trade…

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantMonta Ellis is not a PG.. The warriors tried to make him one but he wouldn’t allow and only wants to be a SG so the lakers might as well give up.. I wish the nuggets would get in these talks.. We need a closer and have plenty of trade assets..

SwatLakeCityParticipantThe Nuggets and the Blazers I think are the best fit for him. 76ers might make sense but scarecrow does have a point. Lakers might work but I don’t think he would work too well next to Kobe. Two ballhogs don’t work out well together. Hawks are also questionable as they would probably use him off the bench as their 6th man, I don’t think that would go over to well for him. He would not like it. He wants to start preferably at the 2 guard. This being said, Nuggets and Blazers are the best fit.
I like the Blazers dealing Oden for Ellis but only if the Blazers are sure they want to give up on Oden ever coming back from his injury. And Scarecrow, it looks like you’ll get your wish. Every day it seems even more likely that the Clippers and Sixers will agree to a Kaman for Iggy swap. Works out pretty well for both teams.

bloodshyParticipantJazz would be a great fit. Right now the only body they have @ 2 is Raja Bell and he’s decomposing as we speak. At the same time, the Jazz are overloaded with bigs. They’ll likely be even more overloaded after the draft (Kanter is a likely pick @ #3). Trading Paul Milsap or Al Jefferson for Ellis would make a lot of sense for both sides, especially if they hold off until they know Kanter is the pick @ 3.

Bnix13ParticipantFor the 76ers I don’t see it happening, if you move andre you are doing it saying jrue/turner is your future, a player who needs to take volume shots to score is not what they need. The interesting thing I could see happening is a third team getting involved and picks going to the sixers, monta going to the third team and Andre going GS. This can only be a good thing for the sixers in that any team who calls them could be inquiring about Andre or in an attempt to aquire Monta.
The Nuggets are interesting and the Hawks may inquire if they’re wanting to get rid of Josh Smith, but the other teams either don’t have the pieces to acquire him or he doesn’t fit.

burningfloodParticipantLove your trade, Scarecrow. If the Warriors can get Iggy AND dump Beans, I’d be extremely pleased. I don’t know if the Blazers are willing to give up Batum, given they were so high on him, but it’s not Pritchard or Cho running the show anymore, so maybe that stance has changed.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI didn’t want u to think that you were walking away that good…we would be taking on Biedrins contract so u guys have to include the 11th pick…Philly would love to add Batum(who the Blazers barely used after the trade for Wallace) Biedrins a defensive rebounding C and the 11th and 16th picks in the draft…maybe we take both Morris twins or maybe we draft BPA or move up for a player we love…

Mr. 19134ParticipantI’d rather try and trade Iggy for Al Jefferson or Chris Kamen. Preferably Chris Kamen but I would want more then just Kamen cuz of his shaky knees.

iguapops420ParticipantI actually heard today that GSW were talking to LAL about Odom,Shanwow for Ellis followed by David Lee for Iggy. Not sure how credible it is, but given Jerry West/Mark Jackson’s desire to hit playoffs, it actually makes sense.

rileymcshea3ParticipantWhat about this
Bulls get Andre Igoudala and Paul Millsap
Jazz get Monta Ellis and Andres Nocioni
Warriors get Carlos Boozer and Kyle Korver
Sixers get Al Jefferson and Ronnie Brewer

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWe want Bogut or Bynum plus picks in return…The Bucks are at a cross roads in their franchise, Bogut wants to win and win now, The Lakers could give up on Bynum for the chance to par Kobe and Iguadola(Jordan Pippen combo)…they won championships without Bynum and Pau would still be Pau, Odom remains as well…Sixers want a defensive C with some low post scoring ability…Kaman and Jefferson don’t really fit the mold…

crudsParticipantGS receives: Andre Iguodala
MIN receives: Monta Ellis, Mareese Speights
PHI receives: #2 pick (Kanter), Anthony Randolph, Wayne Ellington, Johnny Flynn
Sixers get their big guy (Kanter), free up cap space, acquire flexible contracts, open up opportunity to take whoever they want with the #16 pick, rather than just focussing on bigs.
PG – Holiday
SG – Meeks
SF – Turner
F – Brand
C – Kanter
Bench – Williams, Young, Hawes, #16 pick

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantLopez who we do like can be gotten for our 16th pick, we dump salary sure, but for what, who’s a free agent and even better how much would we really even have to spend after resigning Young…Bad trade,we had the Chance to dump Iguadola and Dalembert for T Macs contract and passed on that, we figured why risk losing what you have for a shot at a Free Agent(that trade worked out so well for NY, no future picks and No Lebron too) we are ready to let Brand roll off the books when good free agents are available, not 2 years before an impact player is available…Sixers say no deal, but can we have Lopez for you wasting my time…

aamir543ParticipantAs a Warriors fan, I would love some manuever, that would get us Iggy and the 16 for Ellis, than package the 16 and 11 to Minesota for the 2, and take our big of the future, Kanter.
