I still think that backcourt will never work.

That backcourt will work, its the Warriors frontline that will prevent them from winning, last season they were the worst rebounding team in the NBA. Hopefully David Lee can stay healthy and Andres Biedris start earning his huge contract.

Curry and Ellis cannot possibly work on the defensive end in the playoffs. Pick any team with a SG who’s either over 6ft6 or over 210 pounds and neither Curry or Ellis can properly defend them. Lets say the Warriors make the playoffs and end up facing the Lakers… Which of those 2 guard Kobe? OK OK, so lets say the Warriors put their SF on Kobe then which of those 2 guard Artest? See the problem here? They can be dynamite on the offensive end but there will always be a mismatch on the defensive end.

The same problem occurs if the Warriors were pitted against Portland… which of those 2 guard Brandon Roy? So lets say the W’s SF again guards Roy, which of those 2 guard the 6ft9 Batum?

Fun system to watch during the regular season but Ellis MUST go for the warriors to have a chance in the Playoffs.

I say MUST because Ellis would be better suited as a 6th man for 30-35 minutes a night with Curry at PG. 10 mil per for Ellis in a six man role with all the holes the warriors still have to fill is a bit much.

Monta Ellis can defend any perimeter player. He’s never been hurt by his size on defense. It’s his inability to play the off the ball screens that hurts him.

@Mr.Knick, why is he a sixth man?

Anyone who says Monta Ellis is a liability on defense because of his size are IDIOTS and have obviously never watched a Warriors game. Speaking from a true Warriors fan, Monta is an excellent SG defender, because of his max effort, quickness, and athleticism. Those who says he is a liability have no clue what their talking about.

“It starts with me.” Thats where I stopped reading.. How does it start with him when they just added an All-Star to their team and they have a guy that was a top 3 rookie last year?? IMO, he isnt a leader or a team player.. If the Warriors are serious about being a legit team, they will look to trade Monta for a good C to go with Lee or a SF that can really score the ball. Let Curry and Lee be where this team starts, not with Monta Ellis…….

He isn’t a liability, but he sure in the hell isn’t excellent either.

He’s an OK defender and competes hard, but he’s still undersized with no length.

That’s funny a Pacer fan would say that. I remember the first game that Granger lit up Corey Maggette lol..then in the 2nd match up, Monta lit up Granger and shut him down =D

I do watch games.. Monta is not the best player.. He takes the most shots and dominates the ball but he is not the best player.. Do you realize that he took 22 shots per game last year?? He took 22 and only scored 25 points per game.. He is a classic chucker.. He lead the league in shot attempts per game.. He wasnt effective.. Get him out of the way so that Curry and Lee can lead this team…
