Since the biggest free agent season in recent NBA history is approaching, I’ve been thinking about this issue with money. NBA superstars are paided millions of dollars (obviously), and not to mention the shoe contracts and other endorsements. I’ve been wondering, if you’re basically rolling in money, why not sacrifice some of your money (and along with it, ego), and team up to win 2-3+ championships?

I can’t judge these guys about what they do mainly because I have no idea how it is to be a millionaire, but I honestly believe that if LeBron James, Chris Bosh, or Dwayne Wade want to win, they’ll sacrifice some of the money they’re worth to win. I know it isn’t that easy at all…. It’s just this is the prime opportunity to make something happen. I’m not trying to say that they won’t take lesser money, and I’m not trying to judge these guys IF their main priority is money. I mean you can’t go wrong with doing that, but you’re remembered and known for how many rings you won, not how much money you’ve made.

Not to mention a couple rings means more endorsements and we all know that Nike shoe endoresements pay off more than NBA Salaries especially since you can be 50 and still have a shoe endorsements.

So sacrafice salary for rings and youll get more money in the long run.

the championships would have an asterisk if they took league minimums or something like that. its not like payton and malone on the down sides of there career. and the big stars have there own commercials anyways for the most part. its not like they would get that many more commercials for winning a bunch. the team owner would prolly benefit more
