Moment you all been waiting for.....James Harden 45pts highlights!
currently, the best euro step
He never looks to be in a rush, looks like he's going the same speed every play, dude is a monster.
I didn't watch the game but checked the box score, when I saw his points I couldn't help but scream, "45 POINTS?!" Honestly, it was shocking. I know the guy is good but he's really proving he's worth his money. Fear the beard for sure.
Most of his points were right in Josh Smith face.
Seriously... I got negged into oblivion last year arguing it was better to trade Westbrook instead of Harden.
Westbrook can't shoot, can't break you down, has fewer secondary or recovery moves off the dribble and his shot selection and game management is very average. Look at the way Harden gets his points and then look at the way Westbrook does it. Its night and day.
Harden always had to defer in OKC. Westbrook is a chucker. Some games he'd have 25 fg attempts... for 25 points. Harden would put up 15 points on 8-10 shots. He showed he could run the point last post season. He did a better job then Westbrook running the offense and he's a terrific SG when he knows he's the top dog.
I think OKC completely mismanged his use. I know they were trying to keep Harden as a Ginobli type but thats really a disservice to his talent. Harden is a starter plain and simple. Now that he knows he's the top dog you can see the type of shots he's taking now. Its confidence in knowing he has the green light and won't be denying Durant or Westbrook their shots.
Trading Harden is Presti's second major mistake since he started running the show in OKC. (Chandlers voided trade for expiring contracts because of his "toe" was the other)
Best case scenario, Lamb or one of the draft picks turns into Harden. Whats likely to happen is OKC traded a #1 option (or 1b) for the chance at developing 1 starter out of Lamb and the 2 first rounders.
Presti and Colangelo must be hanging out together.
Westbrook has a deadly midrange game, its unfair to say he can't shoot.
Harden is a beast
It's going to be fun reading all of the comments from the users that doubted Harden, criticized him too harshly for his first appearance in the NBA Finals and gave reasoning why the trade was a great deal for the Thunder.
I didn't need to see Harden go off to know they made a mistake. I didn't need to see him get $80 million from Houston to know the Thunder's whole "he's not willing to sacrifice and take $55 million" was bull sh*t.
It's just two games in Nov, but this guy is the complete package and is only going to get better.
I've been saying since he came into the league that he was the best SG prospect to come out since Wade.
If he starts hitting those mid-range jumpers that he did in those highlights on a regular basis, WTF are opposing teams supposed to do?
