I recently noticed that the mock draft on this site does not include Skal Labissiere or Cheick Diallo anymore.  I know neither is playing particularly well so far in their freshman season, but they’re not listed in the 1st or 2nd round.  Am I missing something here?

Did they recently mention they’re staying more than 1 year in college?  Does the site really think neither will get drafted, or was this just an oversight by nbadraft.net?

They are represented in the 2017 Mock Draft. Neither one is guaranteed one and done, so the potential of them coming back after disappointing freshmen years is there.

They panned the camera over to the Brooklyn bench and there you were. How long have you been coaching?

How are you able to state teh obvious and get 15 likes?

haha, popularity has never been important.  I just get surprised.

I will say though, who is this site to decide who to include and not include who is on its draft?  I mean, Diallo and Labissiere both have NBA size, tahts likely enough to get drafted, so why not include them?  Good legit initial question.

they have Skal mocked 10th and Cheik mocked 18th in next years draft.

I think it would be better for their development to return for another year, but maybe in the combine a team gives them a guarntee and they enter. Giving up that guranteed money and retruning to school would be ideal for both their devleopment but know one knows what their thinking.

I saw some highlights on Kentukys most recent win, Skal looked good but again it was only highlights. Havent seen enough of Diallo to say anything about him.

I watched the whole game against Mizzouri and Skal looked like a 1st round pick.  He shot look fluid, ran the floor very well, and had some impressive blocks……. Then I realized he had ZERO rebounds……Right now, he’s definitely more potential than player but I still think scouts will be intrigued enough by him to take him in the lottery, even though he’s clearly not close to being able to help a NBA team right now

Thanks! I didn’t even check the 2017 mock.  On most other mocks I’ve seen they are still listed in the first round of 2016.

They have a combined 476 minutes and 83 fouls over 34 games.

It is a good thing the Lakers passed up Jahlil Okafor, and held off the urge to lock in that starting center for the next decade. But hey, Dragan Bender has played almost 74 minutes in the Euroleague.

I do not fault Skal or Cheick for struggling. Most big men do not transition seemlessly to major DI basketball, but there were those two last year.

It isn’t that Diallo not playing well as much as it is him not getting an opportunity.
