Look under my name, it is posted there. I posted comments for those that like to read them. They are just my thoughts, and should not be considered a "scouting report." I would love to hear anyone’s ideas and thoughts about my mock. If you disagree with my pick (in the 1st round) look at the comments to understand my reasoning. Also, the 2nd round is just there for you to look at. There is not a point in commenting about each selection. They are there so you can see any of the other options for the 1st round.

The only criticism I have is Gordon at 9. He’s a major talent but with him and MKG on the floor it’s going to make things very difficult for Jefferson because he will face even more double, and maybe triple, teams. Also I bet the Kings would move down in the draft a little ways if they like Ennis because he’ll probably be available in the 14-20 range and they could pick up some more assets. Overall good stuff though

I don’t see sac reaching for ennis, probably a trade with that pick, otherwise I’d like to see sac draft randle or volneh if fall, probably not or Aaron Gordon or smart. Otherwise good mock draft like the comments and teams needs. I see Toronto drafting ennis is falls that far.

I agree that Sacremento shouldn’t reach for Ennis, but I don’t think Toronto should draft him either. I understand that Ennis is from Canada, but Sac has a better fit. I have a problem with Sac choosing Aaron Gordon, as everytime they have drafted a tweener or undersized 4, it isn’t a fit. If nothing else, the Kings could trade down with the Suns for the 14 and 18 picks (and maybe the 27th?) to draft Ennis and Payne. I would like to see how Payne fits along Cousins.

I actually would like to see Payne with cousins. I see him as a great fit actually. He’s a nice polished player, yeah he’s old for this class, but I see him as a Gibson type with more range. He has a nba ready shot and can hit the college three. I didn’t get to see too much of him play so can’t say so much. But if he’s a tough defensive player who ca. Rebound and bit the mid range to nba 3. Those skills would fit better than an Aaron for an type player. I agree there isn’t a need for him, but there’s too much potential to pass of him. I’d draft him give up on Williams and trade Landry or Thompson. I don’t see gordan as a three, but he’s the defensive Pf that can rebound and fit we’ll next to cousins IMO. But if they can trade down and still get a player like Payne. I’d do it. I’m from canada so I’m a homer for ennis to Toronto. I’d rather see them re sign Lowry and vasques and I actually wanted them to draft Payne lol. So if the kings can get him somehow, nice pick up. Another player I want Toronto to get would be warren. We need more scoring off the bench if we let salmons go. Replace his scoring off the bench with a cheaper option.

    good job…here are my 2 cents…

think aaron gordon and mgk are basically clones of each but i see gordon more as a sf based on his combine numbers.

kyle anderson doesn’t seem like a great fit next to dragic and bledsoe and a team that likes to run up and down.

napier to utah is kind of a head scratcher considering they have a huge hole at sf.

thunder taking 2 guards.  i think they take a big with one, given perkins and collison’s contracts.  maybe a euro.

clippers have no depth behind jordan, griffin and paul but i’m assuming collison and big baby opt out since they took drastic pay cuts.

inglis to the spurs seems to much of a clone to livio jean-charles last year.

porzingis is way too low.  the guy is a lotto pick next year.  think he should at least be in the 1st round.  i actually wouldn’t be surprised if the suns use one of their picks on him since frye and markieff are going to be free agents after next season.

I can see your comparison between MKG and Gordon, and I agree with you, but I’m not totally sold on MKG.

I understand about Anderson, but I see him coming off the bench, and he could always turn into a 3 and D type of player.

I expect the Jazz to keep Hayward or Jeff Green (if Hayward is traded to Boston). So the next logical choice is a backup point.

The Thunder will need two guards if Sefalosha leaves via free agency. Micic could be a draft and stash, but I am not sold with the big men that low.

Again I am not sold on the big men. They could choose Mitch McGary, but I am not sold on him either.

The Spurs will draft who they want and we will be surprised, until they come to the NBA and light it up. I will say that the Livio Jean-Charles pick is similar to Damien Inglis, but there is no shame in doing it agian.

I don’t know enough about Porzingis to include him in the 1st round. If he is as good as everyone is saying, then he will probably go early second or late first.

But I dont think OKC will take PJ Hairston. He has a low basketball IQ and a black hole offensively. They don’t really need scoring as much as they need somebody who can create for others because the Thunder is always one of the worst passing/assists in the league every year

The 5th pick is between Gordon, Vonleh and Randle. I don’t think it will be Randle though, because the Jazz might see him as a Carlos Boozer 2.0 They tried that kind of 4 already and it didn’t work. They really like Favors, so if the Jazz are looking for someone to play down low with Favors than Randle won’t work because of his height. For the Jazz it will be either Vonleh or Gordon. Vonleh because of wingspan, height and potential. Gordon because of his outside shooting, and athleticism.

Look at the potental down low combo and you tell me which is better:

Favors 6’10, Randle 6’9  or Favors 6’10, Vonleh 6’10 with a 7’4 wingspan or Favors 6’10, Gordon 6’9 with ridiculous athleticism that more than makes up for his small height.

I think you get my point. Also Jazz could be looking for someone to replace Hayward. The fact that Gordon can play the 3 and the 4 could swing the vote in his favor. The Jazz might see him as Andrei Kirilenko 2.0 That would be a nice replacement to Hayward if they lose out on Parker. (Which it looks like they are going to) The Jazz still might believe that the Favors, Kanter combo will work. (big men take longer to develop and Utah had poor coaching to help out that big man combo) So they could draft a 4 that can play some 3 like Aaron Gordon.

In the end the 5th pick will be between Vonleh or Gordon, but definetely not Randle

Maybe, maybe not, but the point that I make is that Vonleh is a player who is going to need time and plays more defense than offense. Gordon is also a project, but he could get it because he can play the 3/4. On the other hand is Randle, a ready to go player. He is NBA ready, and went the farthest in the tournament of all the lottery picks available. (other than his team mate James Young). Randle may not play as much defense as Favors, but his offense is superior to all of the other forwards. Randle also occupies a different piece of the court than Favors. I am just saying that I like Randle on the Jazz over Vonleh and Gordon.
