Mock Draft 3.0 by Knicksboy

http://www.nbadraft.net/nba_mock_drafts/35229/

Hey, If your'e interested- Here's Mock Draft 3.0

I did alot of things to it, I took every player off the board and picked 1 by 1. I had to move a couple players down and up and it was tough but here it is. I also used my GM side to evaluate the board at every 1st round pick.

Any pick you disagree with, tell me and I will give you a full breakdown of each pick.

Interesting

I like this mock. Can't expect anything but the best from Knicksboy.

Could you explain the following to me?

DeMarcus Cousins to Minnesota. (Trade or what?)

Avery Bradley at 10.

Patrick Patterson falling to 15.

Donatas Motiejunas falling to 21.

Thanks Money. Sure I'll

Thanks Money. Sure I'll explain

Cousins to Minnesota is not a trade pick. Looking at the board, Khan could take Wes Johnson and continue moving but Cousins is the better value and it opens up the market to deal Al Jefferson. Cousins could come in and play right away next to Kevin Love.

Bradley is my big mover! He reminds scouts of Russell Westbrook. If a team loves him, he will go lottery. The best team for him in the lotto? Indiana who has a injured A.J. Price, Earl Watson and T.J. Ford. Indiana could go PG in round 2 or Bradley at 10.

Patterson is in that 8-15 range. I had him going latter. He could easily go in the top 10 no problem. Similar to Motie, he just hasn't had the buzz alot of other scouts have had recently

Motie falls because he hasn't had any buzz from what I heard. I almost mocked him at 11 to New Orleans, so he has a wide draft range for me.

Golden State is tough because

Golden State is tough because they would need Minny or Sac-Town to take Wes Johnson.

If Johnson is there at 6, GS would almost have to take him. He's that highly rated by scouts. Golden State could move down and take a big man. I also gave them Gani Lawal.

Can't see Detroit selecting

Can't see Detroit selecting Aldrich that early..But i do feel Dumars have something up his sleeve..Don't be surprised if he tries to move up and select Cousins...The Knicks are trying to buy 1 of Memphis 3 picks...Memphis wants to sign Nate Robinson...

Detroit looks at it like

Detroit looks at it like this- We lost out on Monroe. He was our best case. Now we have to make a decision. Aminu is a wing, we don't need him. We need grit. Other then Jonas Jerebko, we have not grit. Aldrich plays defense and grabs boards. It might not be a flashy pick but I could see Aldrich playing 8-13 seasons just playing inside D and grabbing boards.

In that scenario I hope the

In that scenario I hope the Knicks try to buy the 25th pick from the Grizzlies (apparently for sale) and get Sanders because we all know they need some size.

Nemanja Bjelica is too

Nemanja Bjelica is too high
have a hard time to believe that Ryan Richards will be drafted b4 players like Seraphin&Willie Warren
well I am also not convinced with Motiejunas falling to 21 but I agree he has a wide range
but it is a very solid mock draft

Likes: Terrico White to

Likes:
Terrico White to ATL
Bradley to IND (had both of these in my mock)

Dislike/Unsure about:
Whiteside to NOH - I have a feeling NOH needs someone that can come in and provide now. If they take someone like Patterson (who physically resembles Okafor) they can move Okafor (assuming someone takes his contract).

Davis to TOR - There's been reports that if (see: when) they move Bosh, they want a C to slide Barg to the 4, don't think Ed Davis fits that

Did you put Paul George to HOU with the thought that maybe Ariza or Kevin Martin get swung over to Toronto for Bosh? I would rather like to see Memphis take George in case they don't keep Gay over Hayward.

I would rather like to see OKC take Orton at 21 but spot on with them take Alabi at 26 (although if they can take someone else - maybe Pondexter or Robinson and then take Alabi at 32 they're set).

Real good mock.

Excellent mock I agree with

Excellent mock I agree with almost every pick except for a few. Bradley in the lotto? Montie falling to 21? Toronto needs a center. Bargnani needs to be playing the 4 not the 5. So Ed Davis will not be their pick. If he is then they should be trading up to get Whiteside or down to get Sanders or Alabi.
OKC loves Orton and if he is available they will take him at 21. He is from OKC so the Thunder know all about him. The Spurs want Favors so they will try like hell to do a trade with New Jersey for that 3rd pick. (Jefferson, Blair and the 20th pick, could be moved for Harris and the 3rd pick) If this does not work, I think they might select Orton at 20 to compensate for Favors. He is not Favors but they might have to just deal with him because it is the best shot they have.

So glad you put Udoh to the Jazz, maybe we could unite and explain the sense of this pick. Soon I will make a post evaluating all the bIg man Utah could pick with that 9th spot this will explain why Udoh should be picked by the Jazz and hopefully everyone will get off Monroe's bandwagon and onto Udoh's.

Thanks people for posting!

Thanks people for posting! Thanks for the love

Toronto does need a Center BUT Ed Davis is 6-10. He could play Center in the NBA. His low post game is impressive. I think Bargs and the 4 and Davis at the 5 could be solid.

I have Orton at 21. Also, I don't see NJ taking back Richard Jefferson and Blair for the 3th and a staring PG.

Udoh to the jazz is a solid pick. I changed my mind on it 100 times already, maybe he could be a solid fit. Plus, noone says it- He could play the 3.

Bucks

At 47 the Bucks would be more likely to take Art Parakhouski than Ogilvy. I would be happy with Patterson and Pondexter with the other two picks.

Glad you like the picks.

At 47, I dunno because looking at it now? I would probably put Selven Landesberg because Landesberg could fit the need of a backup SG. I might make that the pick in Mock Draft 4.0

Do you have the Knicks buying

Do you have the Knicks buying #28 and Bledsoe?

I'd rather go after Varnado at 39 than Jordan. Varnado has at least one outstanding NBA skill while nothing Jordan does jumps out at you.

I'm not very high on Crawford but at least he has 3-point range. I hope Brackins falls to us at 38.

No. NY is not buying a pick,

No. NY is not buying a pick, That's for Mock Draft 4.0

I rather take Jordan. Legit 7 footer with multiple skills. I also would like Charles Garcia over Brackins IMO.

Brackins is a Rashard lewis

Brackins is a Rashard lewis type scorer and another versatile forward who can stretch the floor. Garcia is a huge risk. Brackins has first round talent and size.

No one will be afraid to drive the lane on Jordan who always seemed kind of soft to me. Varnado will give us our best interior defensive presence since Camby.

The Knicks would hit a home run if Bledsoe fell into their laps at 28 assuming Memphis was selling.

I'm not gonna lie, I would

I'm not gonna lie, I would love to have Eric Bledsoe. I would love to have Varnado if we had a big center. Brackins would be a great fit but I think OKC would grab him at 32.

I'm disappointed that Bledsoe

I'm disappointed that Bledsoe didnt do the athletic tests at the combine but that may have helped him fall to the Knicks grasp.
