Although I'm a Kentucky fan I

Although I'm a Kentucky fan I knew we wouldn't get him because of how big of a logjam that would be down low, but I'm glad he went to Texas instead of a bigger basketball school. Help spread the talent around a little bit (although I know I'm a hypocrite for saying that when I root for UK lol)

Lol I mean I like seeing

Lol I mean I like seeing competition and not knowing who's gonna win, but I also want Kentucky to be dominant. I think it's a little different with college because even if Bamba came to UK, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't even make the Final Four because March Madness is so unpredictable; but if there was an NBA team with the same talent level of that team comparable to the rest of the country, you could almost pencil them in to the Finals......so I guess they'd be Golden State or Cleveland

It naturally works itself

It naturally works itself out. That's why even the elite schools have about nine four or five star recruits at most.

Besides "best education" as

Besides "best education" as he stated, possibly also because he can play against the best competition against Ayton as well? Do they belong in the same league since the two schools are relatively close?

Shaka

is doing some nice things at Texas. He has brought in some big time recruits in less than 3 years time. Barnes was a great recruiter, but couldn't win with the top talent he brought in ( a lot like Lorenzo Romar and why he was finally fired at UW).

Shaka has already proven he can at least match Barnes in bringing talent to Texas. Now the big challenge of can he become a real threat to KU in the B12?

If he can get some top level recruits to stay for their Sophomore year, I think in a few years they can be a real threat to Bill Self's league dominance. You never know, but I think everyone is assuking Mo is destined to be a one and done like Allen. Some of these guys Smart gets will need to stay 2-3 years to overthrow KU.

During an interview earlier

During an interview earlier in the year he was asked a question about what his role would be at Texas and he awnsed by saying "we" instead of "they". I actually thoughy he was just playing games with the viewers and leaning towards Duke the school his parents preferred but Im absolutely happy he picked Texas.

Texas has been a school I cheer for. With Corey Joseph, Tristan Thompson and Myck Kabongo playing there before the wave of Canadian talent emerged they instantly became a team of interest. Also was a fan if Aldridge, James, Augustin and probally the only person that liked Coach Barnes.

I really hope Andrew Jones returns. He would be making a mistake if he stays in the draft. Did he sign an agent? The guy has a similar body and athletisism to Deaaron Fox and I think he can really flourish into a high end gaurd under Coach Smart.

Anyone else read his letter

Anyone else read his letter on commitment to Texas. He is smart and insightful. I think I may need to prioritize my life after reading that.
