Jr. ROXASParticipantWow after 4 years and a lot of talk of how his jumpshot is "getting better", it actually is better now. He hit 2 catch and shoot 3 pointers so far vs Lakers with CONFIDENCE. No hesitation. The hitch in his shot is gone completely and he now shoots it in one smooth motion.
Props to him for actually changing his form. Another player who has completely revamped his jumper is Tyreke though. Like MKG, the hitch in his shot is gone and he shoots his shot a lot quicker now.

CU.LIONSParticipantMark Price gets a ton of credit for MKG’s better mechanics. Price is an all-time great shooter. Though it is way too early to know how much improvement MKG has until an entire season is done. But at the very least he does look better.

Jr. ROXASParticipantYea, I kinda got excited in that game because he really shot those two three pointers without hesitation, which he never did in his life. That shows that he has really been working on his shot. I agree that we need more sample size, as changing the form you had been usng your entire life, sometimes, it is possible he may revert back to his old habits, which happened sometimes last year. I hope not though.

festar35ParticipantSo excited to just see him back out there, I thought he was suppose to miss the season. I honestly feel that he can be a Leonard, Butler, George type player in terms of a really good 2-way player and could spark a really nice run towards the play-offs for Charlotte.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe sky is the limit for MKG. I truely believe he is going to be an all-star calibur player in this league. Seems to be a high character guy as his teammates had a ton of energy and were extremely encouraging during his return. One of my favourite players.

Jr. ROXASParticipantGood to see people believe in MKG’s star potential. He is kinda under the radar now battling with several injuries, the ones last year and the ones this year. I too believe he can still be an all-star. He is a load on the fastbreak and rebounds better than about 70% of the bigmen in the league.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantHis form still looks funky but its infinitely better than the horrow show it was a few years ago. The hitch and slight contortion of his elbow is still there although not nearly as pronounced. When he took the first three I was shocked and even more shocked when it actually went in the basket. Remember that this a guy who didn’t even attempt a 3 in a game last season.
I don’t know if I ever see mkg being a high volume 3 point shooter but he’s so good in other aspects of the game I don’t know if he needs to be. As long as he is enough of a threat that defenses don’t completely ignore him, like he was at Kentucky, he will be able to have a positive impact on the floor.

MatosParticipantThat was the one glaring part of his game. If he has developed a consistent jumper and its not just a one game thing, then he will be a pretty good player. MJ now has to enstill that "eye of the tiger" mentality into him.

Andrew1984ParticipantThat was one game. A lot of bad shooters have had one or two good games. Let’s not start voting him to All-Star games until we have some indication as to whether he can sustain it. My money says bad shooters tend to stay bad shooters.
