    Pat Forde said it best on his Twitter:

    "If Missouri has really hired Frank Haith, Mike Alden better have the Explanation of the Century."

    "Frank Haith. Nice man. Would not have hired him with Monopoly money. But we’ll see."

    What a terrible hire. Apparently they didn’t go after Shaka because he didn’t have recruiting experience in the mid west, well hell Haith has proven to not be a good recruiter, at least Shaka is attractive to players. Not to mention in 7 years in Miami he made the tournament just once. So he goes from having questionable job security at Miami to being the head coach of Missouri. What a panic mode hiring. Luckily I’m not a Missouri fan because if I was I might cry.

    Yeah I’m not a fan of that hire. Haith was a below average coach at Miami at best, especially over his last 3 or 4 years. He recruits athletic players, but he doesn’t coach that well and he doesn’t make adjustments or show a coaching style that’s suitable for the Big 12.

    I’m from Missouri and I am thoroughly dissapointed in this. Why??? I’d rather have Ben Jacobson from Northern Iowa, ish even Cuanzo Martin who I completely opposed. Mike Alden, recruiting is not the only name of the game man. I think Brad Stevens and Shaka have proven that. Dude NOT EVEN AN INTERVIEW with Shaka??? are you kidding me??? Kids would love to come and play for him. Maybe he doesn’t know the midwest right now, but he can get to know it. Luckly I’m a diehard Illini fan or I might be crying right now. I still had a rooting interested in Mizzou so I’m mad. I texted all my homies that go to Mizzou, most of them have not responded, I’m worried….

    I think the saddest part of this is that Miami didn’t even use their buyout clause that they could have enforced, they just wanted Haith out of Miami ASAP.

    I hope that somehow this will be like Gene Chizik going to Auburn.

    Dude had an awful resume and was garbo at Iowa State.

    Every Auburn fan was extremely pissed off. Even Sir Charles.

    But later won it all and went 14-0 coming out of the SEC.

    But then again…

    …he had the one man wrecking crew in Cam Newton running the show.
