Mitchell Wiggins (Andrews dad) was banned form the NBA for a drug issue?

Saw this about Andrew Wiggins' father and thought it was interesting.

I in no way think this will negatively affect Andrew. If anything it will probably help. Andrew Wiggins' success would make one hell of an ESPN 30 for 30.

Yeah, he was on the Twin

Yeah, he was on the Twin Towers Rockets teams with Hakeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson. They made the '86 Finals but then Mitchell Wiggins and another guard got banned for drug use. Bill Simmons has a great article about that team so look through the archives.

Hopefully Andrew Wiggins turns into a superstar. The league needs another rising star. LeBron is the guy now but he has already been in the league a decade. Wiggins can help form a new Big Three for the NBA to market along with Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose. It's a superstar league, and Wiggins looks like he will be the next one. Hopefully he shows up for a few dunk contests.
