OhCanada-ParticipantThis guy cancelled a workout with the Nuggets (#14) but still met with them. This could be because he has a promise later or because his agent advised him Nuggets are shopping the pick.Teams may still think he is on par with Bamba/Jackson Jr. talent wise despite missing the year. Could go high.

Dog_ShammdogParticipantHe flew up the rankings his junior/senior years of high school bc of his ridiculously light feet, crazy length, and innate shot blocking ability. He has rare defensive timing and top end ability – albeit in brief sample sizes at lower levels. I think that Washington should look long and hard at him at 15 because they could really use a shot blocking and floor running big like him. And I think he has potential past that as well, but haven’t seen him play in so long that I can’t gauge my confidence in him reaching it, but he’s bigger, longer and possibly more athletic than Clint Capela. He has legit DPOY potential at his ceiling.
*I also wouldn’t be completely surprised to see him go ahead of Robert Williams, but am not counting on it. I have them much closer than most of the ‘experts’ on account of his unique physical tools and untapped potential. I don’t think Williams has the ceiling that Mitchell does.

celtics1982ParticipantPer reports he worked out for the Clippers, then cancels on the Nuggets. So yea that kinda screams he could go a lot higher than late 20s like most mocks have him.

ChoppyParticipantHe’s got a very smart agent. For someone with potential issues after sitting out a year, to be talked about in lottery conversation is a heck of a jump. By shutting him down early, teams would’ve thought he had a promise, right or not. Teams get intrigued when promises are thrown around, wondering what they’re missing. This could be what’s behind his perceived rise. A risky strategy, but a clever one from his agent.

MopgrassParticipantHe’s got some major footwork issues and he’s probably 3 years away. His jumper needs a little work, though it’s not a huge issue. But I think his potential is very high on defense and respectable on offense. Work ng on his handle would do him wonders. Someone patient will take him. I would take him as high as 9th. I expect him to go 10-16. Most project him in the 20’s.
I think Giannis was a lesson to GM’s about how you can’t judge players based on their competition. It looked like Giannis was playing middle schoolers. Some of the guys like Mitchell Robinson and Afrenee Simmons… GM’s now must be able to see through level of competition. That’s why you’re supposed to work out for teams. SMH.

drpleasantParticipantmitchell Robinson is a huge gamble because you’re 2 years away from really having any idea what he’s going to be. With that being said I’d take him all day in the 20s. His size and footwork look a lot like Andrew Bynum did as a teenager.

HitsterParticipantHe’ll be a work in progress but if the right team got him and gave him time, it could be a good pick. Lets say the Spurs at 18, if they couldn’t make something of him then who could?
I still have the Hawks taking him at 19 but Spurs, Bucks even Clippers before hand may have a very close look.
Washington too would make a lot of sense as mentioned above.

ndbigdaveParticipantIt is tough to know he is :underrated" when we simply havent gotten to see him match up and play at a higher level – even at WKU we would have seen him face off with guys older than him and a step-up in competition.
What we know is that he was a dynamic shot blocker at the EYBL level and should be a capable rim-running center. There is certainly value there. Questions relating to character and off the court type issues would need to be addressed and then an analysis of where his skill level is at and how much more he can physically develop to handle being in the pivot.
In light of the fact that most of the very best rim-protecting/rim-running centers get played off of the court in the playoffs his value likely keeps him out of the lottery and closer to the 20s. If a team really thought he could be more than that, or had the skills to not get killed in the pick-and-roll then his value goes up.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI’ve got him super super high.

weballin.netParticipantto be drafted low like Capela or Gobert who were drafted in the mid 20s.
Personnaly, if I were the Wizards, with Gortat aging and all the other starting spot filled, I would take a gamble on him without question. He would be perfect alongside Wall, Beal, Oubre and Porter and could count on Gortat to mentor him.

uabasketballParticipantNot underrated just unknown to us common folk. IMO guys like him show which teams run an actual franchise and which ones just float around the league. Whoever gets to know him as a person, is patient, and takes the time to develop him will look really smart. When in reality that’s what everyone should be doing anyways with 18, 19, 20, 21 year old kids.
